Blue billet charging handle
I'm going to deck my new toy out in blue and black. I'm looking for a blue charging handle. Do you guys think the folks at npz would be willing to make a blue one for me? Possibly with a navy anchor engraved on it.. not the chief one but just a regular anchor I'm not a chief.

I wouldn't bet on NPZ doing it, but you might try NDZ. :-) Just give them a call and ask them.

They'll put the anchor on it, but not make you a blue one. The cost of a one-off anodizing job is rather expensively. They guys at NDZ are accommodating, but not THAT accommodating.

If a couple of thousand, maybe. Setting up for another color is not cheap and unless there's a big demand ...
If you want a special color, do it yourself with Duracoat.

Anodizing can be done at home relatively easily, there are TONS of YouTube videos to show you how to do it and what you'll need. To remove the anodizing that is already on the part you can spray it with EasyOff Oven Cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes, then the Anodizing should rinse off.

Funny...never seams to be an issue with the small R/C manufacturers...they always have at least 3 or 4 different anodized colors.

Hey we love to be Accommodating but sadly there are Lot charges per Color for anodizing, Can it be done ? Sure if you wanted to pay over $200.00 just for the lot charge to have one color piece made.
If there was enough interest in making these in colors we would but so far only one person has ever contacted us about the Handle in a different color.
On a side note I will sell you one raw if you want and you can paint it, duracoat it, Nail polish it, Use a crayon not sure how it will turn out but I will get you one Raw if you wish. It will save a lot of time in making your own and trust me if it were easy to make them and have them be as nice and in spec as ours more would do it.
Thanks
Paul

Would be easy to get one raw from NDZ and for the cost of a quart of battery acid, some gloves, some RIT dye and a small battery charger you can DIY it.

Re: Blue billet charging handle
Well if thats the case ill wait another month or so(just bought a new car wife will flip if I start buying more stuff this month) and order a raw one through you guys. Thanks for the offer! And hey I understand the whole cost and supply and demand thing. You guys are running a business and have to think about profit. If everyone sold everything at cost or lower theyd lose money.

Can you please do red too? I'm looking to add some red accent pieces and thus would be perfect in red.
