New 15-22 charging handle
Here is my version of the 15-22 charging handle.
These sneek peeks are to get a little input and to let you know that there is a new player on the block.
I really should have started this almost 2 years ago. Sorry about that.

I have been wanting to replace mine, but didn't feel like spending $50 for the PT one. Will yours be a little less expensive?

So you want a custom machined out of a solid aluminum part....but you want it cheap?

Yes. Thanks for asking. Not to mention I haven't heard ALL positives about the PT one.

Black is the only color for now.
What should other colors be?
This will not come with a latch (re-use your factory polymer or any of the other custom ones)
You will need to use your spring and latch pivot pin too.
Look at the right side of your factory handle. There is a flattened pyramid shape that stops the handle from moving forward. Other handles do not have that feature, or there is a bunch of material machined away to make that shape, making for a weaker handle.
You can see the finger grip grooves and the top texture to reduce glare.
MSRP will be around $30.00

Damn you.
The last and only thing I haven't already upgraded, and you came up with a part worth upgrading to! I'm in. Where do I send the $$?

I love it! Love the textured surfaces! And at a great price, too I might add. When do you expect these to be available?
(I hope your tolerances work out better than Plinker's...)

They should be ready to ship the first week of April.
I will probably add them to my store today or this weekend.
We matched every possible datum we could think of to the factory charging handle.
There will not be a better handle out there and it's made in Oregon.

I was mainly asking about other colors because I thought you might be making these available in the polished version... I would want black.... FDE might be cool too...

I'd LOVE a dark red one. I think that would look tight!

For around $30 I'll definitely take one. I've been waiting to upgrade the charging handle.

Any option to have it without the black? I like the machined look on that.

Do you mean something like just how it is machined, or clear anodize?
FDE is on the table now.

Either just machined or clear anodize. FDE sounds good too, but I'd probably want clear for myself.

Polished would be nice, with a clear coat/anodized coat on it, but I'd prefer something to match Magpul/Mako colors (Flat Dark Earth, OD Green, Foliage Green, Black, Pink [yeah, i went there!]).
The upper part of the weapon could use some more color to break up the lines and such.
Perhaps, for wear and tear, the shaft portion (head out of the gutter folks) should be black (other colors will show the wear I think) and the handle portion available in the colors listed?
I'd love to get a skeletonized one, but this one shows promise.

The machining looks first rate. Unlike the one from Plinker.
Unfortunately, Jody, I am not in the market for one. I am happy with my NDZ handle and PT latch combo.

I too, am not really in the market for one, as I also have the NDZ handle and lever) but I wouldn't mind having one of these to quick change if I get the tick...

I was getting ready to go with NDZ, but yours in the raw aluminum looks sweet!! I like it better. Do you know when your site will be updated with them?

New 15-22 charging handle
I think you really would benefit from making a tactical latch or ambi latch. Just a guess, but there might be just as much interest in a latch as a handle. If there was a reasonably priced, quality latch for sale, I know a few people that would pick one up. Last idea-15-22 Raptor charging handle. I don't care how much it would cost, I'd buy one of those.

I think it is good looking and the price seems to work. My only grip on the 15-22 when I first bought it was the way the charging handle felt. I get all the polymer stuff but the charging handle just feels like a weak point. I would be in for one.

Here it is.
Bolt Parts : Tacticool22, Tactical .22 Rifle Parts and Accessories
Please check it out and let me know if I need to add to the description or remove anything.
A truly ambi charging handle is in the works and it's better than the raptor

very nice i cant wait to see the finished product. i will be buying one.
i hope you can get a close match to magpuls fde. otherwise i think black may be the safer bet for me.
is the silver going to be raw aluminum, clear anodize, or silver anodize? if its clear that would be tempting too. i just polished my bolt so it might look as good as fde

Clear hard anodize.
The FDE is probably going to be called Coyote Brown
