couple of questions regarding my 15-22
So i switched out my grip and stock today for magpul moe versions and after i was done i noticed my safety lever is not flush against my receiver. Is this normal? The lever is not loose. I know my detents fell out when i changed the grip. Also will the stock front iron sight from my 15-22 work on a low profile gas block? Thanks for the help!

Re: couple of questions regarding my 15-22
My moe grip went on perfect maybe try taking it off and pushing the selector in then put the spring in and reinstall. From what I have read the gas block would need some modifications to fit the 15-22 barrel

The front sight will work only if the gas block is at the same plane as the receiver

Was it that way before you changed the grip? I would take everything apart again and start over.

Mine is like that too. If I rotate the selector halfway between fire and safe, I can push it flush to the receiver. However, it just pops back out once it's rotated all the way in either direction.
I don't remember it being that way before installing the MIAD, but I didn't really pay attention. I temporarily fitted the stock A2 grip back on, and it made no difference.

There is a small gap between the safety selector and lower. I have not taken a feeler gauge measurement but there is a gap. Question is how far the safety assembly sticks out or in on the right side of the firearm, Mine sticks out ever so slightly with some wiggle in and out. This is on a newer 15-22. If it works you should not have a problem.

Mine has the same gap. It looks like it was designed that way so that the lever doesn't "drag" on the lower as you select between safe and fire.

Three 15-22s and none had the gap. Make sure you have used the LARGE detent when you put it back the grip back on.

I checked the detents. small gold detent and blue spring in the takedown pin hole, and large plastic black detent and shiny spring in the safety selector hole. The safety just barely sticks out on the other side now no wiggle and feels secure. It will go back and forth between fire and safety with positive clicks.................I really cant see how it could not be there now.

Yeah i ran Into a similar situation last night. I took off the stock grip and all the springs and detents were inspected and seem to be fine. I put it all back together best of my knowledge. My problem is now the safety is very hard to move back and forth between "fire" and "safe". Im thinking the safety dentent isnt sitting in the safety selector switch properly but if not, i truely have no idea.
