There are a few that have and when you see the pics, you'll want to go outside with a hacksaw. They are BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't think you'll see much difference in how it shoots but I'll let them chime in.

Wow. Ya dont do this. That is majorly illegal.
Get you stamp first, its not as hard to get as you think.

As for SBR'd 15-22. Lots of us have done it.
Mine is cut to 4.5". Keeps everything subsonic and functions flawlessly. Accuracy is good within 100 yards. Which is fine for me.

4.5 to 10" are great, but when i add the costs of: 200 for the stamp, the wait time, having someone cut, crown and thread the barrel, it just does not compute to put that much into a .22 rifle. Great that you did yours and it looks excellent, i just cant justify the funds to SBR it. Can it..sure as i have a bunch of other hosts i can use it with, looks cool at the range, bunnies at 75 yards may be another story with a 4.5" maybe not enough velocity to do a clean kill on them. IDK

Ask anyone who has sbr'd a .22, whether it be a 15/22 or a multi lower on a .22 upper, I hear all the time that they wind up shooting that gun more at the range. Having nearly no recoil and only the sound of the bolt cycling is pretty sexy. And a .22 caliber can be pretty deadly.

Mine is the most fun to shoot and gets more action than any other rifle I own. Totally worth it.
