Thank you for the kind gesture
I wanted to give a forum wide thank you to a member but I won't be naming him or her specifically. Here is the back story to help understand my post. I had made an agreement with a member to purchase/trade for a item and before we had the chance to come to terms my mother passed away suddenly. The person contacted me and said the item in question was ready and all that was needed was payment/trade and shipping information. I advised the member that my mom had passed away and at this time this transaction was the furthest thing on my mind. I thanked them for the offer and advised to find another forum member to offer this to as many were searching for it. A few hours later I received a PM saying send me your shipping information and they would just give the item to me. I was quite shocked as I am a new member and don't know this member more than a few posts and PM's back and forth. It reminded me that there are still some good people in this world and made a very hard time in my life a little easier. Yes this will never change what happened or the hard road ahead, but it was a feeling that some people do care for others whether close friends, family, or complete stranger. This person knows who they are and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your simple gesture of kindness. You are a class act and I wanted everyone in this forum to know what kind of people we are blessed with as members.

Dontbelieve,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Having lost both my parents recently and way too early, I understand what you are going through. Prayers have been sent.
God bless.

I'm sorry about your Mom. Your family is in our prayers.
Yes, there are a lot of good people on this Forum. This is a personal characteristic we share along with our interest / passion for Smith & Wesson firearms.

So sorry for your loss. Thanks for taking the time to post this. It's great to hear that acts like this still happen.
I've seen it here and on other forums as well. This forum is one of the best when it comes to a true sense of community. You don't get all the same bashing, trolling and bickering that you do on others. Do some of us have a bad day here and there and post something that we typically apologize for later? Sure. But for the most part, this is one of the friendliest forums I've ever been a part of.

I love to hear stories of folks paying it forward.
If you don't think that you can change the world by putting others first, you're wrong. Make today count, everyone.

So sorry for your loss. God Bless.
Doesn't surprise me at all. Between LEO, Veterans, First Responders and just darn helpful people, your chances of finding someone who cares is pretty good.

Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing your experience. There are good people in the world, unfortunately the bad ones usually overshadow the good.

Sorry for your loss.
It is so enlightening to see this happening these days. Gun guys are the best group of people out there in my opinion.

dontbelieve,
compshootfl echoes what I was thinking -- there truly is a bunch of caring folks here. I feel the same way about my close knit group of shooting buddies. Hard to imagine a better group of people to associate with than "gun guys".
Like everyone, sorry for your loss.
