The Magpul cheek risers will not work with standard M4 stocks without modification.

This one will. I've never used it so I can't comment on the quality.

Not always.

This works with the original S&W 15-22 stock.

Cabela's: CAA Tactical AR-15 Cheekpiece Set

It doesn't work with the Magpul MOE stock, though.

this is the one I have. I like it pretty easy to install, and comfortable
