barrel shroud?
How do you remove this i uncliped the ring that slips over the barrel and sliped it off but how do u remove the rest.I do not see any set screws that migt be holding it on or can it not be removed.

handrail
TC, i got the gun yesterday and cleaning it today along with installing some goodies on it[1 of them from u thanks]and noticed grease on the barrel and just wanted to clean it off and wipe it down.

It's cosmoline or equivalent , you should clean the gun completely than reapply oil of your own.

this wasn't answered, even though it's in the owners manual.
Anyway it always good to fully clean a new gun, it easy, nowhere near s bad as a SKS packed in cosmoline.
