Default Mag Holders

Not sure where to put it so it's in both forums! I hope thats ok Mods?

Hi Guys n Gals!
I am thinking of buying a drop leg/thigh mag holder for my S&W magazines so that i can use it in 2 gun matches. I was looking at the Kydex or injection moulded type, like Blade Tech. Any advice as usual would be more than welcome. Cheers Paul

Not sure if he lists something for 15-22's. But Dave at NSR tactical does very nice custom work. He can mold to almost anything in most any color. I have one of his holsters for my Glock 34 with TLR1S light on it. Perfect fit and function for a very reasonable price. He will quickly answer any questions you email him on and is a very cool guy. I am sure he can make up anything you could want.

Here are more.... Shown with an AR magazine but people in other forums say they work with the 15-22. Might want to send them an email to confirm.

Any mag holder for the AR mags fit the 15-22 mags perfectly.
This will give you all sorts of options.
Personally I use the Safariland plastic belt mounted and I like them because they are adjustable canted or angled.
If I need to do a reload in a match, its a quick sweep from right to left. The mag has cleared without a big upward motion like the verticle mounts and then its straight into the weapon again.Didnt have to reach down to my thigh, didnt have to look.Dont have to alter anything if Im kneeling cause Its right there on my belt.
But, your results might vary ,and its all up to you.
Hope this helps

Lager are you referring to the 774 pouch on the ELS belt?

Yes RPeacock, the 774 is what I am useing. But, I not using the belt system.
Looks like the belt system allows you to more permanently or securely attach the mag holder to the belt. I havent had a need for that yet. I just use the 774 and clip it to my normal wide band leather belt thats holding my pants up.The mag holder itself has the adjustable angle capability already built into it up to 90 degrees.
Since I only need to carry one more magazine for local competition stages, this simple and cheap mag holder has served me well.
Now, If your level of competition requires you to carry numerous magazines thru the course of fire ? I might consider useing the belt system they offer .Just because its stiffer and you know the weight of 3 or 4 mags hanging off your normal belt wont be drooping and shifting.
Hope this helps.

Thanks -- I love the Safari-Laminate product line by Safariland. I've used their duty belt gear for years. Holds up better than most other duty rig systems -- (not leather and not plastic).
