I just got a phone call from Cabelas informing me that my Order for 2 of the 3 Packs 15-22 OEM 25 Round Magazines that I placed on January 10th was being cancelled because Smith and Wesson had sent a letter stating that they would not be filling Cabelas backorders for this item.

I did tell the nice lady that I would be watching the Cabelas website and if the 25 round mags were to reappear as available I would no longer purchase from them...

So get ready for your call if you've been waiting on these mags.

I don't believe that S&W would send such a letter. If they did, everyone who had back orders from the zillions of other merchants would be saying the same thing.

Unbelievable.....I am never buying another S&W product. I received the same phone call. S&W is refusing to honor existing back orders on the .22 mags.

I had plans to purchase another 15-22 after my back order was filled a year from now...but forget it man. Not giving another dime to S&W.

Name one other merchant other than Cabelas that has open 15-22 mag back orders?

I have some on back order with Streichers. I have gotten an email from them every three weeks or so saying the order will be filled when available.

I've not followed this topic that close in recent weeks. I know S&W shipped backorders of the 10 round long magazines that people (including me) ordered direct from S&W.

Has anyone received any of the actual 25 round magazines from S&W that were ordered since all of this craziness started? Is S&W even shipping the 25 round magazines or are they only making them for new rifle distribution.

I recently received the two 25 round magazines that I ordered from S&W on Dec 23, 2012. I am still waiting for the two 25 round magazines that I ordered from Midway on Dec 22, 2012 (order still shows open).

I received the two 25 round magazines I ordered from S&W on December 28, 2012. They arrived a few weeks ago.

I called S&W and was told that they were unaware of anything like that letter going out to any retailer. I was told that they were filling backorders and even had some 10 Round longs in stock. I was able to place an order for the 25 Round and 10 Round shorts and get in line for now. I checked my Cabelas account info and they have changed my order status from Pending to Cancelled. SMH

Plenty of other manufactures out there good for you, makes more available for me. P.S. I received my 4 25 round mags from S&W.

Is Cabela's only canceling backorders for the retail 3 pack of the 25 round magazines or all back orders for any M&P 15-22 magazines? Maybe S&W discontinued the 3 pack.

I ordered 2 - 25 round mags by phone from S&W on 4/01, they were backordered. I got them on 4/24 or 4/25.

What state are you in?

I've got an order in at Streichers since Jan. $16.50 each I think it was. Kinda annoyed that direct orders seem to be getting filled before distributor orders. Or did someone from Streichers forget to actually place the order I wondeR?

I just noticed my credit card was charged by S&W for $46.50 today. That would be for the purchase of two 25 round mags I ordered by phone less than a month ago. Maybe try ordering directly from S&W and pay a slight premium over some of the retailers.

My LGS got a case of 25 round magazines about 2 weeks ago. He called me to let me know he was saving 2 for me. When I was in their last week, he still had some in the glass cabinet where he keeps magazines. As someone else said, maybe S&W is discontinuing just the three pack. Right now with demand, I wouldn't blame them if they did.

My order of one 3-pack was shipped yesterday from Cabelas. I still have another order (1/07/13) pending...no calls to cancel yet.

My S&W 25 round long magazines that I ordered in December shipped yesterday from Midway. $16.99 each ain't bad.

Cabelas called and cancelled my 3 pack order, but shipped my 2 singles to their store for pick-up. I may let them go back into stock, as I don't think I will be able to pick them up on time. I have plenty anyway, so no big deal.

Target has also cancelled back orders. Usually when BO's are cancelled it means there is a redesign in the works for a part.

Update: I received a package notification and based on the charge to my credit card S&W shipped 4 factory 25 Round magazines Friday - Just 9 days after placing the order. Total cost was $22 each including shipping.

My 3 pack order from cabelas on 1/4/13 just shipped today.

I also got shipping notice yesterday of my 3mag order from 1/8

I ordered (2) from AnacortesGunShop.com on Jan. 27 and just received a cancellation email w/o explanation. Grrr.
