[QUOTE=Dino1; I almost wish it had some recoil, to prep for larger caliber. After all this is the little brother to an all out AR15. And that platform has a follow up shot, nothing compared to the 15-22. But the mechanics are the same.[/QUOTE]
For a lot of us older dogs who were introduced to the Stoner-platform with the M16 in Vietnam, the thing seemed as soft shooting as the 15-22 does now. I had no training stateside with the M16, all we did in BCT was with the M14 which had a solid, big-rifle recoil. So when I got in-country and was issued one of these little Mattel Thunder-Burp look-alikes I was amazed at how softly it shot, even on full rock n'roll. I'm at the age now where big recoil is less of a thrill (yet I own and shoot three 1911's, two in .45 ACP!) and I really don't miss even the gentle nudge of a 5.56 in an AR. I like keeping my sight picture spot-on while I hollow out the center of a target without trying to chase it because of Newton's Third Law all the time.
