Default Bought a MP 15-22 today

After looking at them for a while. They were kinda on sale 399.00 with extra mag ...100 rounds and a cheap cleaning kit. Its compliant for ct ...oh well.
Now the 100rounds are gone LOL I guess i better find some ammo. Seems like a lot of fun out of the box.
Any ammo they dont like?
Thanks

When I got mine, I went to Bass Pro and purchased about 5 different boxes of ammo. What I have shot through mine so far is:

CCI Mini Mag - First 200 rounds went through with no problems, a week later I purchased some more and had nothing but problems with it. I noticed that it seemed to have an excessive amount of wax lubricant on the rounds in that batch. I ended up giving them away. These are the only rounds that consistantly gave me problems but I attribute it to a bad batch.
CCI Tactical - No Problems
Fedaral Champion - No Problems
M22 Tactical - No Problems
Remington Thunderbolt - No Problems
Remington Golden Bullet - No Problems

A few others which I can't remember

Welcome to the forum.

You made a good choice with the 15-22. Buy whatever ammo you can find and shoot it. I can't find anything that my rifle will not shoot.

the only ammo issue i have had is some remington thunderbolt bolt that may be older than me(i'm 40) and some winchester bulk. the winchester was the ammo itself. the bullet was seated in the case crooked enough that it wouldn't feed. i had 3 like this...thought it was the gun until i dumped the rest and found 4 more like them in the box...7 out of 555 no big deal, i just know to look for that when i open the other 2 boxes...

Mine will eat anything, I have gone through mucho boxes of old ammo without incident. In fact My 15-22 may not have shot any ammo that was less than 30+ years old. Point being shoot "wacha got", have fun and throw away the occasional dud.

Thas the point, pay attention to UR rounds as U load them and pick out any that seem different. I usually find 1 or 2 en every box of Remington. Those notices usually are looser ( wobble ) than a nut on a thread in the copper. The rest shoot ok.

one of the funnest guns i own. i put a leupold scout scope on it and it will eat quarter sized holes in things at 50 yards as fast as you can pull the trigger. it is hard on backstops though. my boys rip them up quite regularly. wish it was legal to hunt with here in pa. take my advice and buy lots of ammo. mine likes the federal champs and has never ftf in probably 10k rounds. its easy to clean too.
