I don't personally have an M&P 15-22 but I've seen prices around $23 for mags online. Not familiar with costs for shipping Int'l.

Have you tried "MidwayUK" yet? They're showing 10rd short body mags for $26.95 (your currency).

I guess the experts are all asleep on this side of the pond.

Spare parts are still firearm parts, Those items are very restictive to ship oversea's due trade agreements. Think of it in this way, If MidwayUsa or Brownell's will not ship directly to you, then for a family member or friend to ship to you is breaking the same law.

The Colonists won't be sending any banned parts back to a Red Coat .

I tried to send a plastic recoil buffer for a M41 22 LR semi-auto to a Canadian resident. The legal consequences were severe. Civilized countries don't have common sense "gun laws" for legal gun owners.

25 round mag is prohibited in Canada btw. Well you can have them but the have to be pinned to 10 rounds. That was due to the pistol version that came out and the 25 round mag fit in it (pistols are 10 round max here)

Also we have a show called border wars here and one episode showed someone trying to smuggle in a full lmg through the mail. They got the first box at customs and saw it was gun parts. They waited a few days and more boxes addressed to and from the same persons showed up. Once they got all the packages they put it together. They arrested the receiver and the sender for trafficking firearms. Just saying.

With how restricted firearm ownership is in the UK, I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize your ability to keep your firearm. Just pony up and pay what you have to for magazines from someplace local.

No issues whatsoever with procuring/owning high capacity mags in the UK; the problem is getting them out of the US legally. In my experience even those US stores that do offer shipping to the UK will NOT ship any mag of 10 rounds capacity or over, be it a .22 15-22 or a 5.56 PMAG.

I have a friend who works in the US often (runs a defence industry company that contracts directly with the US govt), has a holiday home in Florida and owns several guns there, but he said that he wouldn't risk any of that by bringing anything back that touches upon ITAR.

I'd recommend playing it safe (mainly for your relatives' sake) and getting the mags from a UK source - probably cheaper in the long run (time, postal cost, clearing fees, no hassle re customs opening packages and asking questions...)

Yeah, I ordered a set of gloves from the US... Post office charged me £8 odd as a handling fee!

think what a lawyer would cost you, plus the penalty, plus the fee's to get your firearm rights back.
if all of that is not worth what you would save on these magazines = then its simply not worth it. dont be penny wise, dollar foolish.

if anything, this will give you and those around you more reason to vote against the parties that dont support your rights to self defense.

The "high capacity magazines" over 10 rounds for rifles won't be shipped from the States.

I know I don't live there and have the same problems you do.

That being said, Brownells has a very helpful customer service department which will help you get export permits for certain items. This includes magazines.

You can also, sometimes, just order them from Brownells as Brownells has a shipping license, and if the items are pre-approved the shipment can go through without any issues. Personally I haven't done it but I know plenty of people who have ordered loads of Pmags, some as recently as last week and they shipped ok.
