The latch is awesome. The handle (unless they stepped up their game) isn't. The handle made by NDZ is spot on.

Unless PT changed their QC, the CMC machining looks like it was done with a file, the dimensions are smaller than the OEM, therefore the fit is very sloppy.

The NDZ handle is much better machined and is dimensionally correct, as are the handles from TactiCool22 and Doomsday Industries.

I will say that the machining does look a little rough... but only on the top circular part of the handle. Also, I would like to have seen a finish that more replicated that of the weapon instead of a glossy black. But I feel that way with all of the third-party handles. The glossy, colored or whatever else is just not attractive to me.

I would have to disagree with the rest, which could just be manufacturing deviations. I have not experienced any "sloppy fit" at all, my handle is the same dimensions as the OEM. Of course, I did just purchase it two weeks ago (give or take).

No major issues regarding tooling marks & finishing on mine, only the somewhat slack fitting causing a bit of wobbliness around the charging handle channel. It works, and the latch is great!

TBH, I was reasonably happy with it until the news of the later Tacticool22 and NDZ handles coming out, and folks' responses regarding them being a much better fit (particularly the posts from Jody about how carefully he'd matched the dimensions of the 15-22).

I use a Raptor on my 9mm, and would love the Doomsday as the next best thing for a 15-22, but as things stand regarding ITAR and shipping, that's not an option in the UK (legit!). I've always had great service ordering from Jody/Tacticool, so have gone for one of his handles - which will be top notch, I'm sure - to which I'll fit the PT latch.

Right, not buying aaaannnnything else now....

....at least for the rest of this week

When I checked out the Tacticool22 site, there were no charging handles listed as being available.

We will have our new version out as soon as possible. I wish I could say for sure when that will be.
There have been some production kinks that are slowing things down.
This will be a true ambi charging handle.
It will be available in a few different colors and the black will be as flat black as anything you have seen. Just like all our other stuff.
