They were $63 before shipping when I ordered one a couple weeks ago. Down to $51 now, so I grabbed 3 more...just to be efficient on shipping charges.
If only I could find enough ammo to fill them all consistently.

I use one & the quality is very high & I've never had a failure. Only you can decide if it is worth it.

I've seen very positive reviews on them here and elsewhere. Was just waiting for the price to drop.

I don't know if they are worth a darn, but $50 isn't bad. Went ahead and ordered one.

I prefer them to the 25rd mags. The drum is really easy to load. I've never had a malfunction with it.

Yeah I finally caved and ordered one as well. Seems to get mostly good reviews other than occasional manual unloading problems. I guess there is a pretty easy fix for that though . Picked up a few Shield mags while they were on sale as well.

Thanks, I was going to get just one but the difference in shipping charge was only $1 more for 2 to me so I got two.

I'm still on the fence on this so how about pics of the drum on some 15-22's? It's already too easy to go through a bunch of 22lr w/ the stock mags. Having one of these will probably put a big dent in my 22lr stockpile.

Mine came today, but I don't have a rifle to slap it on yet! Looks really nice.
On a side note, any accuracy issues with your scope? I notice you have the back mount on the receiver and the front mount on the rail. My AR would torque too much and throw off my shots. Don't know if you see this problem with the small 22LR.

no problems. i have a solid riser mounted on it and it's only 1 notch on the hand guard. i had to put it there to get proper eye relief. the riser clamp is still on the reciever.

See now you guys are making me regret only ordering one lol... I figure one would be enough, seems kinda limited in what you can do with it other than stand there and pour out rounds. For any movement/training/bench/etc normal 25 or 10 rounders would be the ticket.

I only ordered one as well. After getting it today, I realize now just how much weight it will add. The drum itself is a bit heavy without any lead in it. I think it will be a fun toy for dropping lead down range, but it certainly wouldn't be the go-to magazine.

Mine arrived today... Now I'm thinking maybe I should have gotten two after all lol. It pretty awesome looking for sure .
Thinking about picking up a range bag since they are on sale, I may just have to add another one to the cart.

It's funny...I had one in my cart for well over a month but was waiting to add some browning Mag's for my buckmark and perhaps some ammo too. Watched the price drop 3 times and then when this thread started decided to pull the trigger on one so that I didn't miss out. Received it today. Looks like a great mag. They do say to use only round nose and NOT hollow points with it however. The search is back on for some decent priced ammo again....damn does this ever end??

I got the two I ordered this week. One took 50 rounds, the second only loaded 49, I'm thinking its a simple matter of adjusting the tension on the mag. These guys are HEAVY, empty or loaded, but the quality is top notch.

Saw one on Cheaper a Than Dirt for around $70. Tried to order it but they said could not ship to Ohio? Just ordered one from Midway and the order went right through. Can't wait for it to get here!

Agree with above poster, a little longer than the 25, but not much. Indexed wheel makes it easy, they just drop right in. Going to give it a workout tomorrow.

Got mine yesterday, these things are as high quality as I've ever seen for plastic mags. The only problem is they're still on sale. Should I buy 2 more?

Note that if you have installed a Mako magwell grip, these would not seat properly.

I have 2 of these on the way and just watched a UT video on them. Should have watched before ordering, my fault but all the comments were so positive.
Please tell me I didn't just spend $120 on something that won't even hold the bolt open on the last shot! That feature is one of my favorites on the 15-22.

No, it will not hold the bolt open. Unless this is going to be your primary magazine, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I got mine for insane plinking fun, but it's going to be more of a novelty toy than my primary magazine. I'm sure someone will take them off your hands if you decide to sell them.

them not having a bolt catch is the only reason why they are the only aftermarket mag available due to S&W's lawsuit with promag and pt

It's my understanding that a licensing arrangement was negotiated between the parties and ProMag and PT are back in production ... Not that it does anyone in Connecticut and several other states any good.

This thread's been near the top for so long I finally couldn't resist anymore and got two.
When asked what I spent $120 on this close to Valentine's, I'm blaming you guys.

Ok, got my two drums. They look good but there is a note in the box with a very short list of brands that will work and no hollow points.
All I have been able to get lately is Federal 550 value packs and of course they are hollow points.
Before ordering I read the reviews at Midway and no one complained about hollow point limitations.
Has anyone been able to use Federal value pack in the drum?

I ran both of mine with hollow points this weekend and had no problems.
It said they don't recommend using hollow points, not "do not use hollow points".
