Default Wanna load your 15-22 mags in 7 seconds...

here is how. So im sure most people know about the Ultimate clip loader for Ruger .22 pistols. works great right. Well the same people just released the Lighting loader. It has interchangeable heads that you can buy for McFaden. I bought the 10/22 and 15-22 heads. 50 rounds of .22 go in the hopper. shake em up, clip in the mag, squeeze the trigger.

Cost is $27 +$6 per adapter. follow this link to order. they told me on the phone they were working on several other adapters. im getting the M&P22 when its released

the only way anyone can get them is directly from the manufacturer. follow that link and give them a call to see if they will ship to you

With 22 ammo the way it is now, I like to savor each round and hand load my magazines

I'll stick with my Slickloader from Skunkwerkz. It still loads 'em like a champ!

But for those of us that don't have a speed loader, this new option sounds like it could be great.

Anyone else here tried the lightnin' grip? I'd like to know your thoughts.

Looks interesting. For mags that have a load assist, I still like the Skunkwerkz loader, but for non-assist mags, this looks interesting.

Default I have one of these...

...for my Browning Buckmark pistol. I'm not impressed. While the demo video looks great, the real world is different. Buyer beware. Someone get one and try it, then let us know if it's all it's cracked up to be. Just my 2 cents...

For the Buckmark, their Ultimate Clip Loader is a better solution. I love mine and am ordering several of these for myself and similarly equipped friends. The only question I have is whether they have an adapter that will work with our GSG/Sig 1911-22s.

looks ok, neat idea. The best and cheapest loader for my 15-22 magazines I own is my fingers. I'd rather spend the money to get more magazines and just keep them loaded.

Just got off the phone ordering mine. I will post a follow up once I receive it and have a chance to shot a vid too. Can't wait to load mags faster than I empty them at the range. They are working on the GSG5SD adaptor and if things work as suggested I will be getting that as well to cover all my .22 rifles.

Just ordered one as well.

I have the Slickloader from Skunkwerks.

It works okay but is not very ergonomic.

If this one works as advertised it should be easier to use.

I'm really surprised Butler Creek hasn't made something for the 15-22 like they have for the 10-22: Hot Lips

Got mine ordered.
Was told our 15-22 mag is one that works easy with this loader. Ruger 10-22 mags are some of the hardest to get to work with loaders.
The Black Dog 15-22 50rd drum should work with the 15-22 factory mag adapter if you take a little spring pressure off while loading.

I have this companies loader for my Ruger MK pistols and love it! Best thing since sliced bread. I'll be getting one of these for my 15-22 soon.

That surprised me too. I wouldn't be surprised to see one in a year or so when they would be more profitable to fill

Wow, thanks for posting that. I'd rather waste less time loading and spend more time shooting. Going to buy one for SURE!

Did you get to try it on a 50rd drum?

I don't know what you have but this new one does not work on the Buckmark as far as I know. On the otherhand the Ultimate Clip Loader works as slick as glass on the BM mags once you get it adjusted for them. Loading time is all of about 2-3 seconds on average. I have been using my UCL for about 5 years in competition. Anything else is just a big waste of time.
I am ordering one of the new ones with heads for both the 15-22 and the AR15.22 conversions. Spending even the 30 seconds per 15-22 mag speed I can load them at by hand takes too much time at a match.
I just noticed that Taccom is selling the new McFadden loader on their website, although they are showing the AR15.22 conversion model since that is what they market, for $29. I expect Midway and Brownells to have the new McFadden loader shortly.

I ordered them for me and several friends and a few 1911-22 adapters. Can't wait to get them in. Denise was very pleasant to deal with.

I didn't mean their loader wouldn't work well with 10/22's.

I was told that in general it is not easy to design loaders for them because of the different designs/way they load. You have the aftermarket ones, some offset the rounds, some do not.

Then you have the Ruger factory mags. They require a different loader adapter than the aftermarkets.

The 10rd that comes with the rifle requires a different adapter than the BX-25 25rd because one of them has a bigger head.

So if you want to load any 10/22 mag with the Lighting loader you will need at least 3 different adapters.

They said all the 15-22 factory mags only require 1 adapter and the rounds travel from the loader to the mag easily compared to some. The loader just works well with them and gives the required stagger.

The only caution on the 15-22 is insert the mag straight into the adapter. Some people are inserting one corner of the mag first and then pivoting it in kind of like inserting a mag in an AK-47. This can cause the mag follower to bind in the adapter.

got mine in the mail this morning...spent 20 sec. figuring out how to assemble the adapter to the loader, and then loaded the first mag just like the OP video showed. no need to ever handle a .22 round during loading a 15-22 magazine ever again. it leaves just a tiny mark on the side of the bullet nose...
whether you have 2 mags to load, or 20...it works...

Received mine today as well. Took it out of the package and happened to have 3 empty Pro Mag 32 rounds handy. It loaded all three without any issues and all rounds were staggered in the mags. It loads them as fast as you pull the trigger as the OP's video showed. It is as easy as it gets. Great product, friendly staff and super fast shipping. I highly recommend it to keep your 15-22 well fed and happy.

Got mine, just a quick note for those ordering adapters.

The 10/22 adapter only, ONLY works with aftermarket magazines, it won't work with Ruger magazines.

Something with the way the 2 are loaded differently, they explained it to me when I ordered so I avoided picking one of those up for my wife (you can have them swap the included adapter for the one you want).

Mine worked so well with the 15-22, I made an adapter for my Lage Mfg M-11/22 SMG mags. I talked to Mcfadden and they say they will make adapters for it.

Recieved mine last week.

Loaded 2 mags with no issues.

Will not get to shoot if for a few weeks when I head to the mountains.

Definitely more ergonomic to use than the Slickloader.

It's for sale on CL now.

I got mine in and have been distributing them to my friends. It works very well. One friend is having slight difficulties with his Plinker Tactical magazines because they are thicker in a few places. I also ordered some of the Kimber 1911 adapters and they work great with my Sig 1911-22.

Just got "The Lightnin' Grip Loader" in the mail and immediately pulled out a half dozen 15-22 mags.

After attaching the 15-22 adapter I popped a mag in, loaded the bullets in the hopper, and went on to load the mags as fast as I could pull the "trigger". The mags are loaded correctly and you can see they're all staggered the way they're suppose to.

Only problem I can see is once my friends see this they're going to bug me by using mine until they get one.

Somewhat disapointed, emailed direct to them through posted link as to availability in UK in due course, still no reply.

Am guessing the sound of silence would be a no....

shame, looks pretty good.

Got mine last Friday. Immediately loaded a mix of 10-25 rd 15-22 mags and a mix of 15-26 rd BDM/CMMG mags with the other adapter. 100% ready for prime time in my estimation. Loading time is only limited by how fast your finger can work. I like the LGL because I can use either left or right hand to work the loader.

Not available last week when I ordered mine either. Looks like they have added new adapters and updated the order form.

Do you still have to do the one-bullet-per-mag prime like you did with the old version?

I've had a similar one since 1986 when I bought my first 10/22. This is not something "new".
