You absolutely do not want grease on the rails or the bolt body. There is no need to put ANY lube on the bolt body itself. The fit between the bolt and the upper receiver is so loose the only impact the lube has is to collect dirt. The only place on the bolt that needs lube is a
tiny drop of CLP or similar on the extractor pivot and a very small amount on the bolt rails - a single drop in the rail slots in the bolt is more than enough. The rule of thumb is if you can see the lube, you used too much.
Too many people lube the 15-22 like they do an AR and this is wrong. While an AR may run better wet, that certainly doesn't apply to the 15-22.
