22LR ammo for sale online?
anyone know good websites to find 22LR 40grain ammo for the M&P 15-22? I checked ammoseek.com but can't seem to find 22LR 40grain for semi-auto rifles.
Thanks.

Follow the thread "in stock" ammo. You have to be fast and work hard. But the ammo is out there. I just ordered 2400 rds last week from cabelas.

It's hit or miss. The sites that I get mine from are cabelas and midway. you just have to bookmark them and check them a few times a day. You'll get lucky every now and then. Just remember that when it is in stock, it's only up for 15 or 20 mins and then its sold out again.

how do i know which 22LR ammo works for semi-auto rifles like the M&P 15-22? Does it have to be standard velocity or will high velocity work? Does it matter if its copper vs lead?
Thanks.

There is quite a lot of .22 LR returning to the big box stores and even local gun shops. I think you should be looking for bulk Federal HV or AutoMatch and avoid the Remington Golden Bullets or Thunderbolt...
Good hunting!

My 15-22 has fed, fired and ejected everything I have put through it - from sub-sonic (1050 fps) to Stinger (1640 fps), bare lead, hollow point, segmented, copper plated etc. - it all works reliably.

If you follow the In stock ammo thread there is no reason you will not be able to buy as much ammo as you want. All under 10 cents per round delivered to your door. Beats running around wasting gas going to the big box stores hoping they have some. Last few weeks there was CCI AR Tacticals, Federal Champion 2100 round ammo cans, Bucket of bullets, Remington 525 bulk, 500 bricks of wildcats,Wildcats 333's, M-22's, all posted by members of the forum. I picked up the CCI and the Federal Champion ammo can since I have plenty of the others.

I've managed to build a healthy inventory from watching the in stock ammo thread. I learned not to wait until I get the email notification, as it's usually gone by then. I also check Cabelas rimfire selection regularly and have scored some that way. In addition I check slickguns from time to time. In the past few weeks I've gotten the Federal 2100 round ammo can, the CCI Choot Em ammo, CCI tactical ammo, a brick of Norma Tac, as well as several sleeves of the Winchester Super X in the red box.

Wow....I mean WOW!!!! I checked some of the sites listed here and that stuff is TOOO MUCH $$$$$.
I'm in California which usually has high prices but I'm buying locally for $.06-$.07 per round. Got a brick (1000 rounds) of M22 for $75.00
I got Federal Blue and Red bricks (525 rounds) $40.00
Sure those places have ammo but they're raping you for it. I wouldn't buy it online cause you have to pay shipping also.
I apologize I know that for some of you this is all there is, and if it means anything I am SORRY. But it is too much.

I've pretty much quit shooting my .22. The stuff is scarce, I can't get what I want and the price is outrageous when I do find it. I did buy some a while back (not what I really wanted) and I found it didn't function all that well and the accuracy suffered (at least in my gun). I've cleaned the gun thoroughly and put it in the safe till things improve. In the meantime, it's full speed ahead on my reloading.

Federal Auto Match .22 LR Ammunition : Cabela's
Been available all day. This is also posted in the In stock 22lr ammo thread. 22lr ammo can be found if you're patient. I find it locally when I not looking for it. Its the hoarder/flippers who are ruining it for most people.

Thanks for pointing that out. I used my Cabellas club points on my Cabellas card so it didn't cost me anything.

I'm glad to help a fellow shooter. BTW. They are still available at the moment. A few weeks ago I picked up online 300 rounds of cci tactical and 1000 rounds of Winchester M-22,and a pair of Cabelas tactical shorts.

We've already got a .22LR ammo link thread.
With nearly four million views I reckon it's not that hard to find but here's a link to it. OFFICIAL (IN STOCK) 22LR AMMO THREAD
