Sorry, but to consider it for anything other than small game and paper punching is ignorant by my view.

This is the danger that the 15-22 and like guns has brought to the public. Just because it *looks* like an assault rifle doesn't mean anything, but it seems people are getting mixed impressions and ideas. The 15-22 is not an AR. It is a semi-automatic .22lr rifle and while different in form, in function it is not different than a 10/22 or a 702 plinkster. Are people having these conversations about the mossberg plinkster? Thinking of using it to end a hostage crisis? certainly not. But because the 15-22 looks the way it does, by all means lets consider it (sarcasm).

Get real people. The 15-22 is a plinking rifle, and if outfitted right can work as a hunting rifle for small game/vermin, or as a tactical trainer - key word being *trainer*, NOT *tactical*.

This is a stupid conversation, and I'm out.

We're just doomed to repeat this thread once a month until the sun burns out.

"This is a stupid conversation and I'm out" sums everything nicely---how about stamping CLOSED all over the thread.

Man the responses are bad news....... in the event of TEOTWAWKI.......

I was going to have my wife use our 15-22 to lay down suppressive/anti Zombie fire...... once I get one mounted on the top of the Polaris RZR's roll cage...... maybe get another mounted for use from the passenger seat.

You guys know just like "Rat Patrol" when we were kids!

I need Sarge's Aussie hat, and a Sig .22 Auto in a flap holster ......then I'll be......... GTG

maybe a white hockey mask in case I have to ride the ATV!!!!

Sure. Maybe I don't like the hostage anyway.
