Default Surefire RYDER 22A Suppressor

I picked up my new Surefire RYDER 22A suppressor this week and took it for a quick test run this afternoon on my 15-22 and Ruger SR22. I didn't run enough rounds for a substantive range report, but just enough to check it out. My initial reaction is I'm very impressed.

I bought my 15-22 in 2010 before they had factory threaded barrels so I took mine to a local master gunsmith to thread it. My Ruger SR22 also had a conventional barrel so I ordered and installed a Twin Tech aftermarket threaded barrel to replace the factory barrel. The Surefire suppressor worked flawlessly on both. The suppressor only weights 3.1 oz and seems insignificant to the ergonomics of the SR22 and you can't even tell it's on the 15-22.

I also picked up a A2 style flash hider for the 15-22 as a thread protector for when the sound suppressor is not attached.

too cool, once you get into 'stamp collecting' it is hard to stop. i have a dedicated can for 6 rifles that stays on permanent, then 2 floater's (.22 and 9mm) that go on different hosts. remember your POI may be affected when you add or remove the can from the host after sighting in.

have fun, you will never go back.

You got that right, I've already sent the paperwork out for my second can, a Huntertown Guardian 22 Micro.
