Two-stamp 15-22
This has been a fair time coming. My suppressor paperwork got turned around about two months sooner than expected, so I had a suppressor in hand with nothing to mount it on. I promptly ordered the Tacticool barrel wrench and handguard adapter, tore down my 15-22, sent the barrel off to York Arms for threading and shortening to 9", and submitted an electronic Form 1 to shorten it at the same time.
I grabbed a Samson Evolution 7" handguard for the rifle, and it still has my TruGlo reflex sight on top. When I take the suppressor off for other guns, it'll have the KVP linear comp as a thread protector.
The stamp came back last week (41 days) and the barrel arrived today. A prompt reassembly, and the end result is below... Range time mid-week.

Welcome to the club.
I have an 11" barrel with a Sparrow and mine performs flawlessly with all ammo, including subsonic. I had issues shooting subsonics when I had a 4.5" barrel, so please let us know how this barrel length works... especially when using subsonic.

Very nice! You certainly got a quick turnaround on your Form 4, mine was about five months (plus two months on the Form 3 to just get it to my dealer).
How has yours been running on the 5" barrel, since it was noted above someone had issues with a 4.5?

To be clear, I had no issues with the 4.5" barrel when shooting HV ammo. However it is louder than I wanted so I tried shooting my normal subsonics. That is when I had failures.

I apparently failed at reading comprehension. Thanks for clarifying!

So far I have experienced no trouble with Norma Tac-22...
The turn-around time on my form astonished me! The crew in Martinsburg is swiftly cutting through their backlog...

First range trip went flawlessly. Federal 550 bulk gets supersonic so there is a definite snap, but much quieter than without the suppressor. No failures. No appreciable shift in POI with or without.
I need to dig out some of my standard-velocity stuff for another trip.

Ok guys, todays date is 2-14-2015, not April Fools day. Are you serious??? I am going to be sick. It took my form 4 slightly over a year. And that was on top of a 3 month wait for the suppressor to get cleared from the distributer to the LGS.
I had considered buying a 9mm/40 suppressor, but didn't want to put myself through that agonizing wait again. If turnaround times really are 90 days, I need to go shopping again.

Yep, form 4 approval runs about 3-4 months.

BEWARE THOUGH: How you file determines turn-around time.
F1/F4 TRUST: 3-4 months
F1/F4 Individual: 4-6 months
F1/F4 Individual takes longer for one reason: they run a background check on you, the individual. F1/F4 Trust requires NO background check.
So...as an individual, you have to get CLEO signature, photo and fingerprints. I'm sure your CLEO runs a background check on you before he signs off (and some won't sign off period), and then the ATF runs another background check on you...which eats up even more time...
Also, individuals can not eFile Form 1's...so...set up an NFA trust, and your dealer will be calling you to come pick up your goods way sooner...

Amen to everything said above. I can't imagine why anyone would file as an individual.

My local sheriff turned the form 4 around in 24 hours and was happy to sign off. No trust, no fees. That was the only speedy part of this process.
There will be only one designated heir to this item and he is a LEO. He can one day pay the $5 transfer fee to get it in his name. Or if it is many years from now, maybe put it directly into my grandsons name for the same $5 fee.
Trusts do let multiple people possess the item, but in my case there is not a need for that. I am with the suppressor whenever it is being used, no matter what state.

My Sheriff signs, too...but there are at least 12 Sheriffs here in NC that have said "no way". In those counties, a trust or LLC is the only way to acquire these items.
One size does not fit all, so if the Individual route is for you, go for it.

Regardless of what your sheriff will do, the biggest issue I have with getting one as an individual is what happens when you are gone, or can't shoot anymore. I'd hate for my family to have to deal with such an item & place them in a situation where they unknowingly break the law. My wife is not a shooter & knows absolutely nothing about the control required of such items. By placing it in a multi-person trust or corp., the items can be handed over immediately, with no paperwork.
But then when you throw in the ease & speed of getting stamps thru the trust, well that is a no brainer for me. But as stated, every situation is different.

All of this is a big 10-4. The individuals allowed (as long as they're not or do not become prohibited possessors) are listed and can possess/use the NFA items now, without me being present. Example: my dad is a trustee. He can keep a can with him at his house, 5 miles from here. If I had filed individually this would be illegal...

It took about 6-7 weeks for my dealer to Form 3 the suppressor to his inventory, then about five months for my Form 4 (trust). Six weeks for the e-filed Form 1 to SBR it.

The attorney general (SPIT!) has basically DARED any democratic sheriff to sign off. They are all scared to death. Most of them didn't want to anyway and roy put the fear of God in them.
I am currently working with several legislators to pass a bill declaring ATF sign-offs as "Shall sign" very similar to the "Shall issue" clause on CCW in NC.
WRITE your legislators. We need all the support we can get but we can likely get this passed if we can rally enough support.

also with a trust you can let your best friend use your NFA item by adding him to your list as an addendum. then when he returns it you just take him off. this can be done by you as you control the trust and can add/delete as you see fit. you can't take an item out of the trust or add an 'individual' formed item to the trust w/o going through the whole process and tax over again. just an FYI

Why McCrory kept Cooper as AG I will never know...
A couple states have passed "shall certify"...we need to get our historic majority to do the same.
Another threat to keep an eye on is ATF 41P...this Obama initiative would require CLEO sign-off on trusts and LLC's, effectively killing the SBR/Silencer industry for us mere minions...

Maybe because the AG in NC is an elected position and he doesn't have a say in the matter?

I just ran 100 rounds of CCI standard velocity out of my two stamp this weekend. Worked great, no issues, and no sonic crack, so much quieter. I plan on shooting those from now on.

Yes it does. LOL
This is not the forum for this discussion but since you are being so persistent in your stance, no he can't. He can be kicked out by the people every 4 years and he can be impeached under very specific circumstances but the govenor cannot fire him.
I don't like the guy's politics any more than the next guy but you or I can't change the NC Constitution just because we don't like the incumbent.

They work really well for that fcn. I have 3 of'em. They all work equally well at making perfectly functional brass totally useless in a hurry.

Yep. I have four and have yet to have an issue with any of them.
And knowing you can get them for $40 right should make you jump on 'em.

CCI quite is weak round. Not surprising that it didn't cycle the rifle.
These two stamp guns are sweet! I'm looking forward to chopping my barrel down now
