Default Scope Mount Help

Which Scope Mounts are you guys using? I've only shot this gun a couple times, but I just can't seem to get the right sight picture. Feel like I can't get down low enough to see thru the scope good. My LGS set me up with this mount/risers I have. I think I need a higher mount. Any Suggestions? Thanks

Aero precision single scope mount is what I have coming this week.
My weaver rings are 6.8oz. The Aero is 3oz.
Best part is the scope will stay level and centered and I can switch it to another rifle.

I went through the same issue when i got mine...due to posture issues i couldn't comfortably shoot craning my neck down, so i had to get a set of risers and then sit my scope on top of them, which works perfectly. I can now bring the rifle to my head, not vice-versa, ( just like Jerry says ) and it is much more user friendly. I got weaver mounts that are a single strap style, that snap over your scope tube and secure with two screws.

Due to the unique nature of the scope i use (wide field of view with small eye relief) you either have to buy the dedicated mount (which only fits dovetails) or double mount the tube further forward, which actually aids the RMR addition....the clearance from the RMR to the windage turret is 1mm......mmmm perfect.

With .22lr not really packing any noticeable recoil, as long as you can secure the mounts properly and they are proportioned well, you should be okay with most varieties (as long as they are the correct tube size obviously). I know a lot of people here use the single piece mount which seems to raise the height somewhat. Because of my set-up i was forced to use the riser blocks. I can provide you with exact measurements if you so require, but i sure some other peeps will post with advise specific to your set-up and location.

Nice Vortex scope by the way
