Default Competed in my first bowling pin shoot with...

Hi Guys,

I competed in my first rifle bowling pin shoot last night with my new S&W 15-22 and I came in second place. I should have won, but one of the white box Federal bulk box had a FTF so I had to manually eject it and get back on target but it was too late.

I have done plenty of Pistol bowling pin and have finished second a few times, but I was pretty excited to finish second at the rifle shoot seeing as this was only the second time shooting the 15-22. Out of the box, I was holding a pretty nice group at 25 yards with the iron sights, when I put it on the bench - I was pretty dead on.

Love this new 22 - seems like it is going to be a blast to shoot !!

Find you some CCI mini mags and you won't have that problem again

I shoot a lot of bowling pin pistol matches (no rifles allowed as this is short range speed shooting). I won the club title in open .22 every year except 2014 going back to around 2010 (did not have time to defend it last year). This year I am on top again so far. My three best matches average about 2.7-2.9s per run for 3 runs. Personal best was set this year with my new FrankenRuger Mk III at 2.56s. Have done 2.0 in practice back in 2012 with my Buckmark racegun.

Are you shooting at intact bolling pins or sawed off tops of bolling pins?
