Has anyone changed the butt stock or forehands on these 15-22 ? They don't have the delta ring like the better guns do and I don't see any release pins for the stock

Welcome new member. Please look up the post below your for info on buttstock.
As for handguard, youll need a new barrel nut.
Tacticool has them + handguards. Almost any AR handguard will work.
Just search handguard in the forum for more info.

Does your model have a collapsable butt stock? Some models are CA compliant, and these come with pinned, or fixed, stocks.

You can remove the pin, and then remove the stock. Each stock is different in how it is removed, so you may need to do a search for your specific stock.

To add to what Airwolf stated fro the handguard:

1) You will need a barrel nut tool; you can make or build one yourself. Search for 15-22 barrel nut tool.

2) When removing or tightening the barrel nut, or removing the flash hider (required to get to the barrel nut), CLAMP THE BARREL, not the upper receiver. There are grooves in the upper receiver that the barrel slides into (in inserts from the rear of the receiver, not the front as a traditional AR)

3) Purchase the 15-22 barrel nut adaptor, which will allow you to use virtually any aftermarket AR15 handguard.

You know Derek4343, I learned more on You Tube than any other source. There are so many good videos on any subject on the 15-22 that there isn't anything you can't do to it with a little You Tube schooling. The 15-22 is really fun to customize and there are many after market parts available. SO have a ball and post photos when you get it done.

I put a Hogue buttstock on mine and a UTG free floating hand guard using barrel nut and tools from Tacticool.

Changing the collapsible stock is super easy. Even if it is pinned.
What hand guard setup are you wanting to go to?
Front sight or not?

I decided to leave it on for now and just camouflaged it last week. I'm happy with it for now. I'll post pictures if I can figure out how to do it. Thanks to all. YouTube is great too
