Default PC Range Results

I took my 15-22 PC model to the range Sat & Sun and put 600rds through it between the two days without one single issue. I was and am quite surprised by the accuracy @ 25 & 30 yards, she put the CCI SVs through the same hole with open sights and scoped. I read quite a few posts here stating the 15-22's accuracy wasn't in the same league as a 10/22 ? from what I've seen it certainly is @ 30 yards anyway. Also quite a few people that own a PC model and the standard 15-22 say there isn't a noticeable difference in accuracy? IF that's TRUE ??? I will be purchasing a standard 811031 or a Sport 10207 very very soon. I am quite happy with the PC and would love to hear from anyone who owns and shoots both the PC and standard model about the accuracy difference ?

I'm having a lot of trouble with my PC model. I'm. Glad you posted for my refference. Now I know for a fact there's an issue with mine.

At 25 yards I get flyers like you wouldn't believe. 1 or two shots turn out alright but after those it goes from a 2 inch group to like a 10 inch group.

I've taken my barrel off to clean really well, tighten the nut back up to spec and nothing. Super frustrating.
I've thought it's my scope and base but my red dot seems to have the same issue. But far less drastic in terms of grouping. More like 4 or 5 inches. I also really want to hold off off on sending it back. I've heard it takes months to get one back.

Wow, that sucks, one or two shots go where placed then it spreads to a 10 inch group. WOW, that is bad.

Barrel nut (but you already know about the twisting of the barrel if you don't remove it correctly) and seeing as though you have already checked on that, the scope and the mounts. The only thing i can think of is that the crown has been damaged??? But still that wouldn't explain why one or two would go where placed and then the wild spread, not even bad ammo would count for that.

Sounds like you are going to have to bite the bullet and send it back, i use my standard 15-22 in offhand comps and if i were having 5-10" groups i wouldn't be on the paper at 25 yards, with that level of accuracy.

I'll be interested to find out what is causing such wild inaccuracy
Really hope you get it sorted.

I have a very nice SSA-E trigger in mine and use CCI SV ammo. Did the crown get buggered during a cleaning session? Could it be your ammo selection? Did you let a friend shoot it and he got the same results? Also is it doing this with open sights ? Not to get off the OP subject of accuracy of PC vs Std. models ??

Call them, make arrangements to send it in. Warranty work they take care of promptly. It's non-warranty stuff that has a looong wait.

I have 2 threaded barrel "std" models. They're both definitely 3 moa guns. I know I'm curious if the PC versions are any more accurate.

I have a PC model and I keep hoping to shoot it off a bench at 50 yards some day because I want to see what it can do. I feel like it has to shoot better than the standard model as it has a Laney chamber. If you recall, T/C was acquired by S&W and T/C formerly offered the R-55, which also had a Laney chamber and for which T/C guaranteed 1/2" groups at 50 yards with the R-55. If T/C had anything to do with the barrel on the 15-22, I am expecting some good results.
