Cheap MBUS Flip Ups & MST Charging Handle
Hi,
I figured I would post this for yall since I already got mine.
MBUS Gen 2 Back Up Flip Up sights (NOT PTS) $46.99 Shipped!!!
Magpul Gen 2 MBUS Rear Flip Up Sights and Front Back Up Sight Set Black New | eBay
These sights usualy sell for the good friend price of about 80 bucks. This is a steal @ 46.99 they were 39.99 but I think the overwhelming response caused the seller to go up in price a bit. I got mine so act fast and you might be able to get yours too. Heahs been selling out almost every day and then doing another auction the next day.
MST Ambidextrous Charging Handle $85.00
MST Ambidextrous Charging Handle 15-22, Tactical Quarter Master.
This is possibly the best charging handle made for the 15-22 and it has become quite hard to get. Word on the street was that a South African company still had some stock. Well I found them emailed them and they have confirmed they will ship to the united states for about 1350 South African Rands which is about 83 bucks American. I placed my order yesterday through the above link and have received email verification that my handle order is processing. Lets see how it goes!!! Act fast on this too says they only have 6 in stock.

Good deals,
I am not really that bothered about the MST, my plinker tactical works well enough for me, however i am going to SA in July, so i will see if they still have any left in stock. If they do, i'll buy one while i am there and save on the shipping costs. If not no worries.
Excellent deal on the MBUS though.

Interesting....
I'm surprised they will ship to the US, please report back on the outcome. I have never tried to purchase anything on-line internationally and curious to see outcome.

There is no reason not to ship internationally from SA. And the charging handle is great (although I only have the stock one to compare it to)

Another set of iron sights that might be worth looking at. They have sold a lot. I am going to order a set and see what they look like. $24 for flip up iron (aluminum) sights seems a no-brainer to me. If they are halfway good they will probably find a place on my "just in cast" AR, the one not all tricked out and tacti-cool.

So it seems the two top aftermarket changing handles for the 15-22 are the Plinker Tactical and the MST?

Actually Tacticool 22 makes a very nice charging handle. Just waiting for him to make another run so I can pickup a couple more.

I have tried the Plinker Tactical Ambi, the (dare I say it out loud?) Doomsday Ambi and the Next Level Armaments Ambi Handles, Along with the Tacticool 22 TBar, I have not tried the MST, but so far I am most happy with the Tacticool 22 T Bar and NDZ Latch combo.
I am not a lefty / south paw or whatever, but was trying to make my Smith comfortable for the wife, who is.
However she isn't that fussed about shooting it, so I have reverted once more, back to the T Bar from Tacticool.
No grind, not catching no grittiness, just pull, release and shoot...
That's my finding over the last 12 months or so, FWIW I will stick with what works for me.
I have passed on most, if not all, of the other fancy shmancy add ons and do dats,
I now just run it with the sound moderator,
Odin XMR
NDZ SBR
KNS Pins
Tacticool T Bar
ACOG
and soon to be fitted better quality single stage trigger once it arrives.
I have the 9mm and 5.56 for the other fancy stuff

Tell your good lady that 'ocado' has her covered. I fell in love with Ghostpops and was amazed to find them available delivered direct to your door here in the UK. I am munching on a bowl full as we speak.
Also Mrs Balls Chutney....a firm favorite with the kids...and peppermint crisp...all good stuff.

Also....ermm
15-22's are great....(this is a firearms forum after all )

Is it terrible that I see a brand everyone is talking about and immediately check to see what whatever said product is weight is. My main concern if I'm getting a new bell or whistle or even swapping out what is stock to something else I like. I always check weight of all products.
Does anyone else do this?

I'm not sure he actually "makes" one, more sells through, though I could be wrong on that, wouldn't be first time .....

Yes, Its not good unfortunately.
Due to an issue with USPS there was never any tracking on the item. I was in contact with the company the whole time and they kept asking me to be patient.
After all this time I found out Friday that the item was returned just days ago back to south Africa. USPS cited a insufficient address as the cause. Luckily the company (tactical quarter master?) has agreed to resend a new item immediately but even with good luck I am still several weeks out from getting one in my hand. This is killing me I desperately want this handle to finish my project.

Got my MST Charging handle today. Ordered the 1st one on the 31st of January and got the second one that they sent me today on March 8th so it did take a bit longer then one month as the first one got sent back for insufficient address but I couldn't be happier with the Charging Handle and with TQM's customer service they worked with me the whole time to help make this possible for me. I would definitely buy from them again.
As for the handle all I can say is wow!!! The new handle looks great and works flawlessly. The ambi handle is not only neat but works really well and I now have a larger charging handle to grip as its right under my CQB Scope. After the scope went on I knew the stock handle wasnt going to cut it.
The only down side is that the machining on the handle is actually kind of sharp it hurts my fingers to pull back but for all the Pros the Con is very easily dealt with. During this I also installed a volquarsten extractor.
Both will get a good test when I go to the range to sight in the new scope.

How do you mean by "kind of sharp" the serrations on the MST
are cut to a saw like edge but are blunt, so im just wondering
how does that hurt your fingers?......

Not to sound like a girl but I do build houses and work with my hands most days. I have fairly firm and calased hands and this handle hurts my fingers to pull it back rapidly and slam the bolt forward. Part of it may be how I have to grip it around my scope but the serrations are bluntish but they still have a bid of an edge. Maybe jsut enough if you will. Gloves would easily take care of the issue but I dont shoot with gloves unless its cold out.

Incidentally, Tactical Quartermaster has started producing the re-branded KingMST charging handles again. Now in a variety of colours.
The original KingMST's were a limited production run done to satisfy a local market. TQM has taken over the IP and started producing them.

Ugh that sucks. We're heading that way too. Hope you come right.
Dunno who does the new machining. I haven't seen a new production one IRL. I will be getting a pink one for Xmas though. Will be able to compare then.

Keith!!!!! I am sooo sorry. I love my charging handle but to be honest its been a hassle.
1st One got lost in the mail
2nd had pins fall out and get lost in tall grass
3rd had to have its pins glued into place as they were loose as well. Hopefully they fix this on the next run.

Hopefully. I've been using my original KingMST for years and have thousands of rounds with it, including go-faster palm charging, and it is still in great working condition.

The MST and Plinker Tactical are two different animals, personally I like the "flag" sticking up, it's quicker to rack that the "T" style. Plus the "Flag" style is much easier with scopes, not having to reach under it to find the "T". I'm able to stay on target easier with the Plinker Tactical style. Less hand movements equal faster shooting times.
