I already have a FDE Magpul Edition M&P15-22 and have been very happy with it. While checking out the new Sport Model at my LGS I like the shape of the new hand guard better than the originals. I asked my dealer if S&W will be coming out with a Magpul Edition like the did with the original. He informed me that yes they are and they will be available in FDE and Grey with the plastic impregnated with the colors. Now that will be worth waiting for and hopefully S&W will have them on display at the upcoming Louisville NRA convention. I just wonder if they will be a standard production item or a distributor exclusive. Anyone else hear about these?

Considering the "sport" was just announced at this years shot show I doubt think we will see any new models until next years shot.

By then the new will wear off and the introduction of new models / colors will rejuvenate interest again. They do have a pink (muddy girl I think they call it) and a camo version right now.

Not trying to damping your hopes, just being realistic. Would love to see a grey rifle like the green they did for Academy Sports.

Sometimes S&W likes to release stuff at the NRA convention like they did with the Shield. I'll be inquiring about the Sports in colors as my dealer had to get his info from someone. I'll report back what they say.
