Default First Time Firing M&P 15-22 Sport

Hi Fellow Shooters:

Finally got to try out my new M&P 15-22 sport today at the range. After instruction by an NRA instructor, we went to the range to practice. The rifle performed flawlessly. I used the standard magazine that came with the rifle, plus a Plinker Tactical 35 rd. magazine. No malfunctions whatsoever. I was using CCI Mini-Mags and also CCI Standard Velocity.

After sighting in the MBUS sites, my instructor said I had an excellent tight pattern, but had a tendency to drop the barrel a bit causing below bullseye shots. He said if I was using a silouette type target, I would be hitting in the '10 area or close to it.

Overall, I am pleased with how the gun handled and fired. Will be trying some other brands of ammo to see if they work as well as the CCI ones.

Thanks for reading this and be safe out there!

KH

Thanks JBTrucker. I do have some Federal GameShok and Champion cartidges and Amscor, I think it is called. Also some Winchester and Browning. Will add your Federal Match type also. It is kind of fun experimenting with different brands. Maybe my AR will eat anything which would be nice! LOL

Thanks again and be safe!
