Question Flash from ejection port?

Curious thing I noticed at the range, yesterday. I was doing some double-taps and it seemed like there was an occasional flash coming out of the ejection port. Has anybody seen this before? One thought I had was that it might be residual solvent, since I cleaned it right before going to the range. I know there have been instances of OOB firing, but that usually ends in the extractor blowing across the room, which didn't happen.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

It's not an issue. Flame will come out of any opening possible, including the ejection port.

Here's a vid of the 15-22 with a slide fire. You can see a bit of flame coming out the ejection port.

It's a straight blow back gun. The bolt will have a tendency to open, even as the last bit of powder is still burning. Nature of the beast.

A normal occurrence even on a non blow back firearm. I have fired several different full auto firearms at night and sparks and flames came out of the ejection port on all of them. It's something you don't notice when shooting in daylight.

Good to know. It seemed odd, since it just started happening...that I've noticed, at least.

Thanks!
