Can't get anything but HV ammo to cycle
So I've tried everything--cleaned, installed volq extractor, and tuned the ejector--but my 15-22 will only cycle HV ammo. Anything less, including SV, the trigger won't reset or the second round doesn't chamber. Tried different mags but the same. In fact, I have two 15-22s, one a Gen 2, and exact same issue. Called S&W and they just say it's within spec and I should only shoot HV ammo with it. Federal auto match isn't very reliable either. CCI mini mags and Remington golden bullets run flawlessly.
Any other thoughts on how I can get it to cycle SV or even subs? Polish feed ramp or cut recoil spring??
Thanks.

Check to see that your bolt rides FREELY on the guide rails. If there is even a slight tug, you can have issues cycling.
The guide rails are easily bent out of alignment. Sometimes there are burrs that are on the rails as well that need to be filed off.

Changer spring?
If you prefer to shoot standard velocity ammo, you may consider a lighter return spring. Woolf Springs may have them.

Wolff doesn't.
Bolt cycling is controlled by three things:
Bolt weight.
Recoil spring weight.
Hammer spring weight.
Those are the "tuning" variables and assumes you don't have mechanical issues causing the bolt to drag.

Assuming you are still running the stock triggers, I'm with sithlord and think you need to check the rails. It shouldn't take HV ammo to push the bolt back. IMO, since it does, that means something is in a bind.

I'm running a Giessele SD 3 Gun trigger group which uses a heavier hammer spring. It still runs Norma Tac-22 (std velocity), the only std velocity ammo I've tried, just fine.

I have the CMC trigger but same issue with or without stock trigger. I'll check the rails. I notice the ejector does sit very close to the inside bolt channel.

The ejector should NOT touch the underside of the bolt. However, the clearance should be minimal.

I too have the CMC trigger in both my 15-22s and I have no issues. You mention you have "tuned" your ejector & that makes me wonder if that is part of the issue. I have always made it a point to not mess with mine whatsoever, to the extent I cover it with a straw during cleaning.
When you remove the spring, the bolt should slide the entire length of the rails with no resistance at like... like a hot knife thru butter.

Are you running the stock poly charging handle? Mine started acting up when I started using the NLA ambi charging handle. A slight design flaw in the rifle or the charging handle created unnecessary friction not allowing the trigger to reset. And this was with high velocity ammunition because that is the only thing that you can find in my area. The bolt was scraping off material from the charging handle every shot in my case. As others have mentioned just another possible cause of extra friction that can lead to cycling issues. For what it is worth I also have a 3.5# cmc trigger

As a side note I have the cmc trigger because I bought the slide fire kit awhile back, when it was cheap. Thanks to you guys here. My 15-22 would run it with a Nikon p-22 2-7 in a Burris pepr mount. That was also with the stock charging handle and stock poly handguard. I have not tried the slide fire with a red dot and the lighter aluminum handguard that I have now. I am guessing that it would run even better
