Default 2 Gun Hard or Soft cases

Hello guys and gals. Been lurking for a while. As I would have suspected, a wealth of knowledge here.

Several months ago, we purchased 2 M&P 15-22's. One for each of our kids. 0 problems to report at this time. We, as well as they, love them.

Looking for a 2 gun case for them. Hard or soft. Don't want to spend several hundred but don't want something that won't protect them. Normal use...but bugout ready.

Also looking for the same for 2 M&P Sport II's.

Which ones can you guys vouch for?

Thanks,
Reath

I'm using a cheap plano hard shell single rifle case for mine ; works well, fits the gun, mags, and my Lightnin' Grip Loader comfortably.

I have 2 soft UTG long gun cases. One for each of my AR15 style guns. There is room for 2 guns w/ scopes in each case, bit I keep them separate because of the caliber differences. The cases have a big pocket on the outside, which hold mags and other accessories. The inside has the large velcro straps to hold the guns securely while in transport.

I'm not sure if this is the exact one, but gives you a good idea on what they offer.

I picked up a Vism NcStar soft double carbine case. Lots of great pockets and with Molle setup I added some mag pouches on the outside. Fairly inexpensive and fits my 15-23 and AR great

I have this:

MidwayUSA Heavy Duty Discreet Tactical Rifle Case

15-22s are narrow not having the forward assist and 2 of them fit in one case real nice, separated by the center divider.

I have both hard and soft cases; putting two rifles in one makes it heavy!!!

However, I've been fairly impressed with the Plano All Weather Case. If you want 2 guns to fit, you could try this:

or their longer, wheeled version:

They make a shorter 36" that is great for almost any rifle, but it will only fit 1.

Another think I noted after purchasing these - depending on your vehicle, the wide cases don't tend to fit cross-ways, and many crossover type SUVs don't have a lot of depth unless you fold seats down. That kinda stinks in a 'bugout' type environment. Our Highlander, for example, will not accept the 42" wide hard case without turning it a bit. Oddly, the 42" fits ok in my Mini Cooper...

If you have a Bass Pro, Cabela's or Gander Mountain near you, you'll find what you're looking for. If not, maybe Dick's or Academy Sports. Lottso possibilities!

Many thanks guys. Several of these look like nice options. I'll check them out closer. I just want to make sure that there is enough padding between them to protect them from each other. They're both camo.

Just for another option, I have this one from LAPG.

LA Police Gear Double 42" Rifle Case with Shoulder Strap

It is well made and protective. The only thing I'm not completely happy with is that I wish it had zippers that would allow it to open completely flat. I'm not sure if the others mentioned do or not, though.

Please make sure you post what you get and what you think about it. I'm thinking about getting a double case as well.

I use a Blackhawk Sportser Modular Case for my carbine length rifles;

http://www.blackhawk.com/Products/Ta...pons-Case.aspx

Great case as you can set it up exactly how you want it, its well made and fairly cheap. The only downside to it is that it doesn't have shoulder straps which IMO is pretty stupid for a two gun case But its not beyond the realms of possibility to fit them. I only have to carry my guns short distances though so its not really much of an issue for me.

Here is a review that I did on my Drago bag for another site. I had forgot about doing this review. It is picture heavy.

Drago 42" Rifle Bag Review

I bought this case to carry my new AR that I just built. I bought the double gun case because my wife is starting to build an AR of her own, and until it is completed, I can carry my S&W M&P 15-22 in it. I went with the 42" because I will build myself another AR in the fututre and my thoughts on that one is that it may have a longer barrel. Planning ahead.

I received this bag a few weeks ago. I was immediately impressed by it. It is a very well built bag with ample storage. As a matter of fact, I found 4 pockets and a pouch tonight that I did not know about. In all, it has 5 pockets on the front, 4 in a middle pouch, as well as that pouch, and the one pocket that holds both rifles, separately. It has a handle to carry like a suitcase, but it also has backpack straps so you can carry it on your back, with a connecting chest strap to keep it from sliding off. It also has the Molle system built in.

the center pocket:

the center pocket opened. As you can see it closes with velcro, the clips, and has the bungy cord to keep things quiet and motionless. The three middle pockets all have these features.

All 3 middle pockets open.

the two left pockets and molle system:

The two right pockets.

The middle Pouch and it's pockets. Two of these 4 pockets are on the back side of the 3 middle pockets shown above. I have a mag sticking oput of each to show how they close differently.

And finally the main compartment that holds both rifles:

In this picture, you can see the padding that separates the two rifles.

And closed with both rifles inside.

The carry handle.

The backpack straps.

I bought this from Optics Planet through AmazonSmile.com for $87.00. Going through AmazonSmile allowed me to purchase from Amazon.com, but 5% of my purchase price goes to the NRA.

If I had to have a complaint, it would be that the bag itself is heavy because it is not cheap flimsy material. So I guess with two rifles, a bunch of loaded mags(I'm assuming 5 or 6 in each of the three middle front pockets), what ever else you manage to stuff in all of the other pockets and add with the molle system, you may need a forklift to carry it. The only other thing is I would like the backpack straps to be a little bit longer and especially the chest stap as it was uncomfortable for my wife to snap it closed.

Product Features

Keep your favorite full-size AR15 AND your 18-inch 12-gauge Riot Shotgun protected at the same-time
Padded backpack straps for hands-free transport
Three large storage pouches for ammunition and firearm accessories
Dual zippered storage area
Made of 600D Polyester
Dimensions: 43″x14″x13″
Water Resistant

speedyquad, that is a really nice review. And that appears to be a pretty nice case. Price isn't bad either.

Thank you.

It is a very nice case. I think it's well worth the money. I'd pick up a second one in a heat beat if I needed another.

I think I'm gonna get this Plano case soon. Not too expensive and will hold what I need.
