Default M&P 15-22 going full auto?

Anyone heard anything on this? Our local range has banned them at some events because of this. Supposedly there was some info on Appleseed but I couldn't find it.

I have had my conversion rip off a short burst if I am shooting subsonics, but that's a conversion.

It appears that there's a problem with the 15/22!

The only one that went "full auto" did so after an instructor "worked on" the rifle...

Like any mechanical device if you mess with it without knowledge or something breaks it can do funny things.

To minimize any potential problems do function / safety checks. This should be done on all firearms, not just the ones mentioned here.

Yes, A Project Appleseed "instructor" worked on the extractor on a 15-22 and it went full-auto AFTER he worked on it.

More about this here: It appears that there's a problem with the 15/22!
