Default Midrange shooting with the 15-22

So, I took my 15-22 to a friend's range today, plinking around. Decided to try my hand at the 200 yard gong - believe it or not, I hit it off-hand with a cheap Weaver red dot lol. I was pretty impressed with the little feller

In all honesty I haven't had a chance to stretch my 15-22's legs as it were. Nice to hear it had some range though!

Depending on gong size Im guessing there was a lot of kentucky windage. Its always good fun to reach out and touch something. LOL

I have a fixed 2.5 on my 15-22 and occasionally run out to 200. Only problem is I can't hear the hits on the plates at that distance with others shooting around me (at a public range). I just count hits if they don't make a dust poof. It's surprising how far out this cartridge can hit.

Yeah, it's pretty weak at that range haha - I had a guy spotting me and the delay was enough if I listened close I could tell if it hit lol. First time I've tried to shoot this thing past 25yds or so. I was really impressed.

Not as much as I would've thought - I did have to hold left a tad, and of course, significantly above haha. But yeah, it was a lot of fun, especially with no zoom!
Now, tagging it with the hand loaded 77gr rounds in my AR was a different story lol
