On sale guys at Academy....Again
This weeks weekly ad has the 15-22 Sport on sale for $379.99 plus you get a $50 gift card with the purchase bringing it down to $329.99
Sign up for their credit card at the register and get $25 more off the price.
There are no rain checks at Academy so it's limited to stock on hand.
I think I'll buy myself another Christmas present

I live in CT. I wish we had an Academy near here, but I'm sure our law prohibit such stores. Ugh! Happy Shopping.

I was born raised and educated in the once great Empire State and Big Apple so I feel your pain.
I did a lot of competitive shooting in CT,mostly at Remington's Lordship and Fairfield Trap and Skeet.
The gun shows in Glastonbury CT were best around.

Also remember that Academy has their "price match" deal: they will match and then beat by 5% anyone's advertised price.
I would tell the ridiculous deal I got this way at Academy on my 15-22, but I'm new here and don't want to be branded a BS'er right off.

Awesome. So, yes...I guess you know what I'm going through. Man, I wish I could get that deal. I'm LITERALLY buying one this weekend. As for the gun shows, I will have to check them out. The only gun show that I'm aware of was one that was in Middletown this past month. I heard they're not good around here and if I want to see an awesome gun show then I should go to PA or Texas.

What is the difference between the 'Sport' version and any others? I am thinking of going down to Academy this evening!

The difference is mainly the hand guard. The hand guard on the Sport is round and slimmer. The older version has quad pictanny rails. It also has Magpul flip up sights and I believe is a tad more expensive.

Thank you for that. I went down there last nite and it was after nine PM before I got the paperwork filled out so it came back "delay". The clerk said they almost never get them approved that late so now I am waiting for them to call me to say it's ok to come pick up the gun. The $50 store credit is enough for a hard case and extra magazine!
Thanks for posting this alert!

Academy sells a decent hard case, but you can find the same ones cheaper online. As far as the mags go, you can get those for much cheaper also. Check out gun mag warehouse, where the mags are about thirteen bucks. It's a factory magazine, and ships fast. Or if you want the short, ten round magazine, try CDNN sports, on sale now for twelve bucks.
Spend the fifty on ammo!

In the new Academy Sports weekly flyer is the 15-22 priced at $379 once again.
With the purchase of the 15-22 you will receive a $50 gift card and some 10% off next purchase coupons.
You can lower the cost even further by getting approved for an Academy credit card.
I bought mine last year at about this time and the final cost after all factored in was $294.
