McFadden Lightnin' Grip Loader without a doubt is the quickest and easiest.

I can load 25rds in just a few seconds. And you can use it to load mags for multiple guns by buying other adapters for a few bucks each.

Been using the Mk1 Mod 0 D.I.G.I.T.s, numbers 1-5. Carries well and stores easily.

I too recently picked up a Blackdog 50rd drum.

I have not tried to McFadden its ***** yet but if it's a no go so be it.

The 10x25rd Stock mags are HELL to load by hand so I don't mind having to do 1 50rd by using MK1 fingers.

LA

Wasn't a case of reading about loader issues. Is a case of ,

It works fine for my stock mags X 10 so I have no issue with loading 1 non standard mag by hand.

Don't need a hijack or negative comment just saying them was my thoughts and experiences.

Non the less, happy holidays.

I ordered the McFadden based on these comments and the videos posted online and it should be arriving soon (today I hope!) I'll update this thread once I have a chance to use it.

My McFadden also works with the Salem 6 20rd mags if I remember correctly, though if I remember correctly I couldn't load all 20rds in them. I was going to use them in my 15-22 for an Appleseed shoot since they don't stick out very far, but we all know about Appleseed and 15-22's... I used my 10/22 instead and scored my rifleman's patch. Very happy with the McFaden. You need a different adapter for the Plinker mags. Email them for what it will and will not load. Very good people to deal with.

Got my McFadden on Friday and used it on Saturday. Holy **** that thing is AWESOME!!! I had 3-4 people ask me about it at the range and everyone wrote the name down so they could get their own. My son and I were actually fighting over who got to load the magazines it was so fun! It was by far the most enjoyable day of shooting the 15/22 because it was fun shooting and loading! Great job McFadden! Highly recommended.

Has anybody noticed any nicks or gouges on the bullet when using the speed loader? I tried mine out last night and at the end there were nicks on both sides of the bullet. The bullet was 40 grain solid lead.

Yes, as the round is pushed in backwards by its nose there is always going to be a little mark on the nose of a lead round. It makes pretty much no difference to accuracy but it is there. Doesn't happen with copper washed so much and I can't say that it has affected what I do with my Smith so I have never bothered / worried about it.
