Default More Slide Fire mag testing Salem 6 Promag etc Warning anti hunters Don't Open!!!!

Howdy,

I went back to test my gun with the newly polished bolt and Guide rod, While there I tested my NDZ SBR Lever and the Odin Works Extended Mag release. About the only issues arose with the Promags and the Salem 6 mags. Neither would function with the slide fire. While in Semi Auto I can get them to function near flawlessly but not with the slide fire system.

Next video will probably cover the Plinker mags and show all the mags in semi auto mode.

Warning you will see some hunting gore in this video. It was the second to last weekend of buck season at the ranch.....

Please let me know what you liked or didnt like. Im using all these videos to test before I release my actual mag, ammo and gun review videos.

Thanks,
Alex R.

your cycle rate seems slow compared to other videos, what ammo were you using? Why no compensator on the muzzle?

I would need to see a video of the gun your talking about to be able to explain why without just guessing but if I were to guess I would say my fire rate is slower either because they have less ammo in the mag such as using the factory 25 rounder versus the 50 round drum I am using and the other reason would be the trigger. The CMC trigger that I got with my kit is just barely light enough. I want to got to a 1.5lb trigger and that will improve my cycle rate a bit more. Also as for a compensator I am using the slide fire Recoil Enhancer. Its a part of the slide fire kit.

As for ammo I am running golden bullets. Here is the video with interceptors and you can tell its cycling a bit faster. But do notice that my drum never hangs and never gives me burst fire its always a full mag dump

The cycle rate ( time between rds fired) is very slow, you need to put a muzzle enhancer on the barrel to achieve the fast fire rate. It has nothing to do with your mags.
a 3.5 lb trigger is fine no need for the 1.5 lber

Check out this vid

What you are saying I need is what I have but its by a different manufacturer. I have the slide fire recoil "enhancer". I have to disagree with you. I have been shooting my slide fire for years and its easy to get a fast fire rate with a 25 round mag. The extra weight of the 50 round mag is taxing on the recoil of a .22lr. If you notice in your video even one of the clips they use has a huge lapse of time between round 1 and 2 as the gun barely had enough recoil to fire the second round on a full mag.

Now yes I agree it has a faster fire rate but it has a lot to do with the weight of the gun. Ill prove this next time I can fire my gun with the 25 round mag. Its simple physics less weight means more recoil and faster fire rate.

As for the 3.5lb trigger I also have to disagree just watch this video with a 50 round drum and a JARED 1.5lb trigger. The fire rate is plenty up there with out the recoil "enhancer" you mention but with a simple addition of a lighter trigger.

All of this will be covered in my mag review....
