Default recoil ??

What creates more recoil, heavier / lighter bullets , higher / slower velocity rds. I'm looking for MORE recoil for my Slide Fire setup right now I'm shooting 1435fps 40 grain with good results, the slower 1200 fps rds fail to cycle more than occasionally. I'm trying CCI stingers and Velocity rds this weekend those are up around 1600 fps

Heavier bullets = more recoil.

Honestly, when it comes to perceived recoil I doubt I could tell much difference between the hottest Long Rifle load and a Short. But logic and physics would pretty much dictate that the fastest, heaviest-bullet load would produce the maximum actual recoil, which I think is what you are after.

The higher the velocity the stonger the recoil. You are shooting hyper velocity bullets if im not mistaken by the term.

Standard velocity of the .22LR round is only at around 1075fps and still cycles veey nicely and even with sub sonic bullets. I am wondering why your doesn not cycle very well with 1200 fps.

Btw, pls check manual (im not with my manual now) if the 15-22s can take stingers! As not all 22lr firearm can take this bullet. It has a longer brass (casing) than the other .22lr ammo.

So be carefull and read the manual first and make sure that 15-22s can take stingers.

Cheers and happy shooting!

I shoot my slide fire alot.

Mine likes,
Golden Bullets
Aguila Interceptor
CCI Tac .22
Velocitor
Stinger

All that is with a 50 round drum.

Higher velocity and higher weight bullets will develop more recoil. If these bulets cant do it then start lightening your gun, polishing your rail and trying less lube on the bolt.

Good luck.

Here is my gunwith golden bullets

With aguila Interceptor

If I'm not mistaken, there's a muzzle device that helps increase pressure, which helps the function. I've heard that a compensator will help a slide fire type device to function also. A lighter trigger is said to help too. I don't actually have a slide fire, so I only know what I've read. Maybe someone who has one of these things can confirm or deny the accuracy of this. Either way, I do know I've heard of this before, and the issue was addressed mechanically. Not saying that different ammo wouldn't help, just that I've heard there's other options.

Yes there is a company who makes a recoil enhancer and the slide fire company also sells one with their kits if you have a newer one like I do.

A silencer is also a good way to make the gun function better as it will help recoil. Making an SBR will do the same as it will lighten the weight of the gun thus increasing recoil.
