Default M&P 15-22 stock adjustment

I just picked up my new 15-22 performance model. This is the first and only AR15 I own. It appears that the VLTOR stock can be adjusted for length of pull be means of the tongue and groves on the upper portion of the stock. I know it will slide using the lever on the bottom but it still seems short. Is the way it's supposed to be or can it be adjusted? Thanks

The M&P 15-22 is NOT an AR15!!! Please don't confuse the two.

If the stock slides fore and aft when the lever is pressed then it's as adjustable as it's going to get.

I've never met anyone that a 6 position AR type stock can't fit, are you taller than 6'5"?
