Misfires after extractor replacement

I recently had a OOB discharge a couple weeks ago and since I replaced the extractor almost every other shell is a misfire. Not striking the case at all. I've checked to be sure the bolt is closed completely on each shot and that's fine. I got around 3000 rounds through it and other than some ****** ammo in the past I haven't had any problems at all. I did disassemble the bolt to check and be sure it wasn't damaged and it was bent or look broken. I am using an extractor from taticool i think it is. It looks completely different than the original and not sure if it's in properly. The flat tab on the end isn't centered, it's closer to one side than the other. When it's in one way the extractor will move back to the outside edge of the bolt and when I flip it it only moves back to just past the edge of the casing. Any ideas?

Just a thought you have put the spring back in the extractor ??

I had the same experience with the Tacticool22 extractor. I replaced the Tacticool22 extractor w/ a S&W extractor and the misfires stopped. I was using the OEM plunger and spring with the tacticool22 extractor. I'm not sure if that was the problem.

I have always been happy with the Tacticool22 products I've purchased. I think this one may still need some revision. I'm sure he will improve it.

I must admit I never used a Taticool one I use a voq and never had any issues with it

LOL yes the spring is in. I used to think those questions were ridiculous until I read through a lot of these posts. You just never know.

That's very disappointing to hear. Send me an email and we can figure everything out.
There are a few things outside the extractor that can affect going into battery.

When I installed the extractor I noticed that the flat end was off center. So after I had the misfires I remembered that and took it out and turned it 180. I haven't had a single misfire since. About 300 rounds so far. Also I think what happened was, after tearing it down under the scope I notice that at the leading edge of the entrance to the chamber was an ever so slight amount wax. Prob not even a hair thick and it tapered down about a 1/4" length of a casing. The ammo I was using was excessively waxy, the entire shell not just the tip. The casing had been handled to many times by the time I found this so I couldn't compare it.

Oh well that's how we learn. I love this little gun with my trusty $20 fieldsport red dot. It's a gopher slayer.

I got it figured out, I remembered the flat end of the plunger was off center so I took it out and rotated it and It's GOLDEN.. over 300 rounds since and not one misfire. Gong to order another set payday just to have on hand. Super simple to install. A+
