Default Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 Sport SL (Slim Line) trigger question

Hi guys ..Well I've wanted one of these rifles for quite awhile and I just picked one up off the net tonight..
I'm new to this gun and could some one tell me
Can I install any ar-15 small pin trigger in this gun..i thought I remembered reading that the triggers were interchangeable along with grip, stock ,safety selector and some other parts from the big brother AR-15
Thank you..

YES!

Another wonderful thing about this rifle....now the only hard part...choosing one!

I went for a Hiperfire 24C .
Whichever you get KNS anti walk pins are recommended.

Do you have to get the pins at the same time or is it just recommended? I was going to get a elfman trigger at my LGS this weekend and shoot the gun but I doubt anyone in town has pins? Can I just swap the trigger and re use stock pins?

You can use the stock pins with the Elftman triggers. The unit has little screws that put pressure on the pins so the don't walk out.

Great stuff here guys..I already ordered the anti walk pins ..Just seems like the right thing to have in a polymer receiver..Maybe a waste of money and they are not needed, but I like the add insurance of my pins not walking, or pin holes getting elongated. Like I said it may never happen..But..They look cool and I like that..Haha
As for the trigger...I was looking at the hiperfire triggers last night..Never seen them before..They look very nice...I wasn't sure how it would work out on a rimfire with the lightest springs installed..Can any one confirm it works with the 2.5 Lb. Springs..
I'm more of a two stage trigger guy but all of my rimfireAR are single stage so I can live with it long as it's sweet..Haha..
Then there is the cost pint of putting a 200$ trigger in a 400$ gun..I was leaning more to the RRA 2 stage NM for 88$..But open to suggestion..

Yes it certainly does and it is fast, and certainly does not feel unsafe.

The trigger is very well designed and executed.

The extra hammer fall energy it boasts is a worthy boast, I have only had one round that failed to go bang, as I later discovered it had no primer in whatsoever.

The weird 'shoe' thing actually seems to work, but I am going to shoot a season without it and see how it changes things, best part about the 24C you have options to play with.

I can only compare it to the factory trigger...there are lots of other trigger groups to consider, but I am very glad I have a £200 trigger group in my 15-22, it makes the experience so much more fulfilling.

I have slowly changed my 15-22 so that it's easier to use, easier to aim and easier to shoot, trying to squeeze every bit of accuracy out of my rifle....the only real downside to all the mods, add ons and go faster bits, is that I now have nothing on which to blame bad shooting other than myself.

Mutt, on your charging handle on the above photo, who's release is that, I've tried ones from my AR's and the length of the hook is wrong. Those are one of the best improvements you can add, easy to get under the scope.THX.

Plus a HUGE one for the Hiperfire 24C, it was Mutts constant going on that drew me to explore the option of a change there and a few , no a lot!!!! of pounds sterling later, could not be happier..

As for accuracy, since I had mine chopped down to 12.5 and re crowned, either my eye is getting better or the rifle has suddenly got a little more accurate.... i am leaning on the re crown making a difference, as my eyes are definitely not getting better

Here's another option for replacement Charging Handle Latch for those interested. see pic at bottom.

That is the plinker tactical charging handle, with it's own latch. Many people have bad things to say about the Plinker Tactical handle and latch but I think it works perfectly. I only charge with my left hand and you're right the oversized latch easily clears the scope and it's size and shape makes it easy to manipulate, accurately and quickly. I'm not certain but i think the Plinker Tactical handle has been discontinued.

I can't think of a situation where I would charge with my right hand so an upgrade to an ambi would not really benefit me, while my Plinker Tactical isn't broken, I see no point in looking for a change.
