Trigger problem
I have recently installed a CMC trigger from Lantac and apart from the pins they supplied for the 15-22 being too long I have an issue with the bolt snagging on something on the last 20mm of travel when racking it. It doesn't snag with the lower separated from the upper so I am guessing it is down to the hammer being slightly too high when cocked. Is this normal and has anyone else had this issue. I haven't shot it yet so don't know if it will cause a problem. Any help appreciated.

Nope, never heard of such a thing. Never heard a bad thing about CMC triggers in a 15-22.
I don't know if this helps but you can get 15-22 CMC anti walk pins...they may help solve your 'too long a pin' issue.

Could also go for some 15-22 specific KNS pins in Black if you know where to get some from....
I too have not heard of this as an issue before but you never too old to hear something new.
Rob.

@GhostMutt the pins I bought are from Lantac where I bought the trigger from. They are supposed to be for the 15-22 as the pins that come with the trigger are the ar-15 ones. When I say they are "too long" it is literally only a fraction. The screws, when done up don't touch the sides snugly allowing slight sideways movement in the pins. With regards to the trigger I have noticed on the bolt under the firing pin where the hammer comes into contact with the bolt when it moves backwards, there is some wear and a slight lip. I am guessing that because the radius on the top of the hammer on the CMC is sharper compared to the original this is what it is catching on. I will try and polish this bit smooth and see if it makes a difference.
@Rob1 I would love a set of KNS anti rotation pins but don't know where to source them without the usual kerfuffle or paying a King's ransom. If you were able to point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. They would have to be FDE ones though!

Sorry I didn't realise that you were offering to sell me a set. I only said I wanted FDE ones as all the little add ons I have are in FDE. I would be more than happy with a black set if you have one for sale.

OK so I put my theory to the test and took a fine warding file to the area in question and low and behold it now doesn't snag anymore. As I said previously I think that because the hammer in the CMC trigger has a sharper angled top to it compared to the original one which is quite rounded it was snagging on the lip of metal on the bolt. Now to test it out at the range on Thursday
Happy days!!!!

With a little luck, Santa should be dropping you a little something on Friday/Saturday which I am sure you will like just fine.

He certainly did and the present was spot on. Now I just need to find someone with an EMR that works with the KNS pins as my one doesn't. Dont suppose you know of anyone do you???

When the bolt catches what was it doing, would it stop the gun from functioning or did you notice it when pulling the charging handle. I know my bolt has some wear where you filed yours but I haven't noticed the bolt hanging up,Ill have to give it a good look. I have the same trigger.

I didn't get to shoot it before I solved the problem but when pulling back the charging handle all the way and releasing there was a second or so pause before the bolt went forward. Filing down the small lip fixed the issue.
