I "had" a HK416 D .22 LR made by Walther Arms, but the extractor was not extracting, and the safety of not being able to remove, effectively, live rounds bother me. So, I called my local gun store and asked how much they would have to have in trade for the S&W M&P 15-22 I saw there last weekend. "shoot me what you want" he said.. "How about $50.00?" I said, figuring there would be a lot of dickering back and forth. "Bring it on in, I'm here till 5:00"
Cleaned it all up nice and pretty, put it back into the original box with all the stuff it came with and went to the LGS. Looked it over and looked new, except for evidence of some firing. Had one of his associates, young kid, go over with me and get the gun from the floor rack.
Only after looking at the instruction did I notice that it has a match chamber and barrel. Barrel is also longer than what I was expecting, at 18". Should shoot decent enough. So it is my upgrade from the Walther Arms made (Umarex) HK 416D
Won't (shouldn't) shoot CCI Stinger ammo, per the manual. Other than that It seemed to digest my CCI Mini-mag, Winchesters, and some Remington bulk pack I have, as well as some Federal HV Match ammo.
