Default B.A.D lever

any one here running proper bad lever I've bent to fit and works perfect using standard velocity and subs but it just will not work when using any HV rounds

any one have a fix or a work round or even a suggestion

tried fitting a washer to take the sideways slop out the bolt release

I've used one on my Service Rifle gun for the past couple of years. Mine doesn't, and never had, any side-to-side slop in it.
How do you mean that it's "not working"?

yeah its fine when i had it on my m4
but with the 15-22 the actual bolt release catch has some side to side movement , not the bad lever sorry i didn't explain that well

its not working as in the last round hold open won't function when using HV rounds but works fine when using standard or subs.
this has to be due to the bad lever as without it on last round hold open works perfect with every type of ammo

Gotcha.
Bolt hold-open on the last round with some ammo IS a known issue with the B.A.D. Lever on some guns. With my competition rifle, it sometimes (maybe 10% of the time, and only in offhand, never in sitting rapid fire) won't lock back on the last round if I'm shooting 77 SMK's with 24.0 gr. Re-15 powder, but it always locks back on the last round if I'm using the same bullet and 24.0 gr. TAC powder.
Apparently it's the added weight of the BAD on the bolt release that is the issue.
What "HV" rounds are you using?

I have a B.A.D. on my Long-Range AR, and I am experiencing almost the same problem, with almost every shot. I shoot an 80gr bullet loaded short with an MV of about 2780 fps. I have narrowed the problem to one of two factors:
a) higher than normal bolt carrier velocity due to the higher pressure load (no signs of excessive pressure), or
b) weak magazine that can't counter the weight of the M.A.D., bolt latch, and S.L.E.D.

I am leaning towards the magazine spring being weak. I am looking for a stronger spring for a short 5-8 round magazine.

IIRC, seems like I've heard that others made the b.a.d. lever work on the15-22 by giving it a couple of custom bends to make it work on the15-22.

Get a speed bolt release from NDZ Performance. Specifically made for the 15-22, no bending required. Works flawlessly with mine.
