Default Went the range after work

Shot the 15-22 again tried some Appleseed targets at 100yards standing up. I have a 4.5x scope on it now but for the 200, 300, 400 yard targets I need a 14x scope.
Thinking of getting the Burris Predator quest 4.5x14 scope.
Really happy with the rifle no issues with it.

You shot Project Appleseed targets with a 15-22 AND you did it in Michigan??? Project Appleseed instructors are surely heating up the tar and gathering feathers for your using an "unsafe" S&W 15-22 to shoot Project Appleseed targets.

I must admit, i am very surprised that the rifle did not explode on you...after running full auto and experiencing OOB. Who knows, maybe you got the one good one?

Great thing to do after work. Leave all the stress of the day behind.

Yes it is, spent 2-1/2 hours there. It's nice to relax and practice shooting skills and enjoy.

Excellent shooting. Glad to see those Appleseed targets didn't spontaneously combust on you. Think I read that so it must be true.

Glad you're enjoying your 15-22. The comments in your thread are referring to an incident last year at an Appleseed shoot in Michigan. A 15-22 allegedly/apparently had an OOB blowout which caused a participant to bleed. Appleseed powers banned the S&W 15-22 in response to the incident.

I'm very interested in your plan to shoot beyond 100 yds. Let us know how it performs.

Exclamation

I'm also very interested in how it shoots over 100 yards. Waiting for an update and info!

Going to the range tomorrow (Sunday), got my new Burris 4.5-14X42 PREDATOR QUEST scope.
Went and bought a few different types of 22LR ammo. Going to try 200 and 300 yards.
I'll keep ya posted on results.

Once I got the Burris scope sighted in at 100 yards I was very happy with results
Picture on left 100 yards
Picture on right 200 yards, need more practice.
Cross wind 6-8mph
Winchester ball nose 40g at 1300fps

One thing I would like to do next is a different trigger set up stock is alittle to stiff for my likings, thinking of a Timney trigger.
