Default A2 Stock

Is it possible to put a Fixed/A2 style Buttstock on the MP15-22? I HATE collapsible buttstocks!

Only one way(and its permanent). Grind off the lug on the bottom of the 15/22 stock projection and GLUE the A2 stock onto whats left..........

In short, Mike is saying no. I've never seen this mod on the forum. You can try it but risk destroying your rifle.

bjb4242 did it a while back. He cut a notch on the stock to fit his rifle. From my understanding, he didn't modify the rifle at all. It was only friction fit but he said it didn't move.

I would say PM him but he hasn't been on in a year.

It's no big problem at all. Replace the buffer tube with the proper A2 tube, put on the stock. I've never done it on an S&W, but I have on a DPMS.

Default A2 stock on 15-22

He's talking about the rimfire version. Can't replace the buffer tube on those, it's part of the receiver.
