Default Magpu Mbus Gen 2 for a 15-22

Considering a set of the Magpul Mbus Gen 2 polymer flip sights for my 15-22. Magpul also makes their pro series in steel but cost more. Promag also makes a set in steel but then again at a higher price. Any pros/cons on the Gen 2s or better to go with the steel. Will be for plinking and range time.

Never had a problem with the Magpul flip-up sights. I have them on our M&P 15 MOE, SIG M-400 MOE, and M&P 15-22 MOE. All came on the rifles with Magpul furniture. If you want a aluminum alloy flip up I bought a set off Amazon from “TACTICON” they are true flip Up Iron sight “tight at first but operate them a few times to wear down the coatings and they flip up by themselves very well ”they come with sight adjustment tool and mounting wrench for $29.95 shipped if you have Prime. These guys claim “TACTICON™ IS A COMBAT VETERAN OWNED COMPANY” If interested just search “TACTICON flip Up Iron sight” it will come up, Magpul sights will cost over $50 just watch the Chinese fakes selling for under $30 on the auction sights and other places. You can’t go wrong with Magpul.

Oh. Older model. I really like the MBUSs on later models. I had a steel set on an AR and would just soon have these polymers. I try to maintain the very light weight of the 15-22. Vortex Venom (3 MOA) weighs 1.1oz. Love it. Laser weighs 0.4oz however I'm waiting for arrival of a better laser weighing a fat 4.0oz.

Yes, older models and pinned stocks, no flash hider or bayonet lug due to the law made by anti gun liberals in my state.

Agree on the Magpul quality I have their fixed stock on one of my 15-22s now and it is great. Authorized Magpul seller on Ebay has the Gen 2 sights for $70.00 for both front and rear. Think I will go with those. I have also seen the cheap Chinese copys there for $35.00 and will pass on those for obvious reasons.
