Default Triggers, mag release, safeties

I haven't shot my 15-22 in years ( I have an original version) but Im going to dig it out and turn it into a trainer rifle. MY gun club has pistol bays where I can draw from holsters and move around but the limit is no rifle rounds though a 22lr rifle is ok. I figured using the 15-22 would allow me to practice rifle reloads and transitioning to my pistol.

Question for the hive is will standard AR parts like triggers safeties and mag releases work in the 15-22? I know the charging handle is different I already found an ambi version to replace it. Want to make the controls similar to my AR as much as I can, as a leftie all my control are ambi

From elsewhere:

This is what I know will work on the M&P 15-22:

1. What Lower AR-15 parts are interchangable?
a. Trigger
b. Stock MilSpec MAGPUL MOE works great and is tight with very little wobble
c. Grip MAGPUL MOE works but Modifications maybe needed
d. Trigger Pins
e. Takedown Pins
f. Detent Pins/Springs
g. Bolt Catch
h. Mag Release
i. Sling Adapters
j. Ambi Fire Select

2. What Upper AR-15 parts are interchangable?
a. Charging Handle Latch
b. Flash/Muzzle Devices
c. Barrels*
d. Handguards
e. Backup Sights
f. Rail Accessories

3. What Modifications can be done do adapt AR-15 parts?
a. BAD Lever will work with grinding of the lower and BAD lever
b. Sling Mounts
c. MOE Grip
d. Ambi Fire Select

* No barrels.

Lol. Didn't see that. Guess I'll leave it here since you replied to it. I'll caveat it. Thanks.

You don't need to grind either. Bending the lever into a workable unit is pretty easy, you basically just straighten it out.

and aren't trigger/anti-roll pins and ambi safeties different due to the increased width of the 15-22 polymer lower?
