Probably 25k rounds through one. Lots of fun suppressed. I have 3, although one is now integrally suppressed, so while it still has a threaded barrel, you don't see the threads...
I'd say most of the 15-22's have threaded barrels. Those made for California and New York are likely in the minority.
You must live in one of "those" states. Threaded barrels are the majority and they shoot the same as the non-threaded version. Some people like the option to switch out muzzle devices but the standard A2 variant it comes with is fine.
To me a rifle that is intended to look like an AR looks unfinished without a muzzle device. I was happy with mine the way it came until I started shooting it in rimfire steel matches. I put a comp on it to make it louder so the electronic timers could hear it better.
