Sorry if this is a redundant question but a search has turned up nothing relevant with the current generation/ production.
So my first two range visits with my S&W15-22 Performance Center model (2017 production) left me with mixed feelings.
First the good.
I love the ergonomics of this version over the older style. The combination of MLOK forend, Veltor Stock and rubber grip just make it "feel" right to me. Fit and finish are VG as well. Trigger on the PC model is very crisp too.
Lastly, On initial cleaning, It appears that the BCG is nicely made and smooth in operation.
As for performance, I'm not so thrilled. So out of the 5 brands of high speed ammo I tried, only CCI Mini Mags (36 and 40 gr) functioned reliably enough to get through a 10 round mag without a stoppage. Additionally, although the CCI ran good, I was only getting 2" groups or so at 50 yds off a bench w a decent 3-9x42 scope. ( I can do 300% better than that with many of my other .22 rifles) . Of particular disapointment was that Fed Auto Match would not run. This stuff runs very well in everything I own ( and I have! With 300 rounds down range ( and a cleaning mid way), I'm thinking the gun should be doing better at this point.
So, what is the community liking in their 15-22/15-22 pc ?
Any input appreciated.
