Let us know how it does. I need to get a couple of plungers, extractor springs and extractors to keep in the range bag. Seems to be a common issue.

From that pic it looks slightly different in shape from the original plunger, maybe to get past ©. I would have thought it performs the same. I like the colour as well.

Well? how did it work for you?

It worked well, over 300 rds today with the Slide Fire today, it ran perfect. The fit is tighter than the stock one, it's a little harder to install as there is no guide tab. It will wear less that the stock plastic one. For the price , get it.

Pretty cool. He cranks out some nice tools and parts. Perhaps someday he can do some firing pins. Crazy that no one offers them and it's hit or miss whether S&W finds you worthy of buying parts.

There is a company here in the UK that are about to release 15-22 firing pins....latest update was 3000 rounds and still going strong. Should be released by the middle of Feb.

I’m at around the 10k point for rounds fired with my smith, still on original firing pin.
I have a spare one, purchased over 18 months ago, they are available if your willing to pay the price for them.

In my case it was £35, but that was when the mags were also £35 - £40 a go.

As a foot note, fella at my range had a broken pin, took rifle to RFD and had a replacement from S&W sent from US to UK and fitted to his gun within 10days. ALL Free of Charge.

I guess at that price and speed, can’t complain.

Rob

The extractor and plunger are not controlled because they don't fit any military anything.

+1^. ordered mine today. Faster then a speeding bullet shipping.

I watched a youtube video on disassembly of the bolt. In the video they refer to a "detent" is that the same as the plunger?

Thanks.

I learned on this site that the s&w 22a extractor spring is the same part number as the 15-22; I found it on ebay for $10

Received my extractor and plunger very fast. Have now installed(quite easy) after watching the video. All went in first time. The weather here has been wet so have not had a chance to shoot it yet.

Can't speak for everyone but if your on the fence buy it.

Just returned from shooting. Ran 250 rounds through and not one FF or eject

Springs are coming
They have more tension than factory to really hold the extractor in place and pull the shell out.
