Mp1522 with Slide Fire 1522 kit
So awhile back I had the though of putting a slide fire (bump stock) on my MP1522 and did some research. Turns out the recoil and the trigger aren't good for the bump fire. So found out that Slide Fire has a kit that has the bump stock, trigger, and recoil enhancer in it. So I got it awhile back...and life had me busy. But with recent possibility of them making it illegal...I figured I'd install it and test it out.
Trigger install wasn't too bad. I've never put a trigger in a AR15 and the drop in version was pretty good. It's a CMC 3.5 lb trigger. I then installed the recoil enhancer and it was my first muzzle device to replace. Wasn't too bad, but then again it didn't really any aligning. The hardest part was removing the pistol grip and making sure the springs and pins don't get lost.
At the range I ended up shoot about 800 22lr rounds. Took me awhile to get the hang of it. But once your in the groove it's pretty easy.
Here's a video of it in action and me learning how to do it:
Overall, highly recommend it.

Good video, but the music was an unnecessary distraction.

Well, can't have a 1980's training montage without training montage music. But yeah....noted.

If you take off the feont.pistol grip and learn to use the hand guard it will lighten up the gun and increase your rate of fire. Cci tac .22, aguila interceptor and remington golden bullet all work great in my rifle. As do cci stinger and velocitor but i have a considerable amou t of work.into this gun including.polished bolt rails.
Link to my rate of fire with a lighter rifle and polished rails but the same slide fire kit you have shooting Aguila Interceptor ammo.

I had about as much fun watching as you had fun shooting. Glad to see the range allowed that. Congratulations.

I have a rifle membership at my range. So when I do bring the bumpstock there they have to charge me an extra 10 dollars since I don't have the Auto membership. It's nice they allow it, back a couple years ago most rifles weren't allowed. They upgraded their backstop and made the targets with digital controllers....really nice now.
I put the bump stop on my MP15 and was only able to get 2-3 bursts at a time. I suspect it's because the bolt isn't a full auto one....will get a auto one and test it on that. But The MP1522 with a bump stock is tons of fun. I would recommend you grab one before they stop allowing them.

Not a lot of modifications are needed, 99% of it is how you are holding it. i have mine now shooting any ammo, Aquaila HV works fine, one trick is to spray the upper with silicone on the buffer tube. If anyone is looking for a Slide Fire® SSAR-15® MOD stock for the 15-22 I have an extra one I'd like to get ride of, get one before you can't.

I do have a muzzle brake on it to help with the rise. My worry was that it would climb to high and I would hit the range equipment. They charge 30 per hit, so crazy scared of the muzzle rising too much. So will try it next Friday when I go to the range.

Wow, charge for rifles, auto and hits. Do they charge for the air your breathe?
Where is this range located?

Well if you just go to shoot at the range they would only charge you extra if you shoot auto (or bump stock). They don't care if you shoot rifle or pistol....lane prices are the same. The only difference is if you get a membership to the range that they break it down via pistol, rifle, and auto. Since I have a rifle membership, I get a charge if I go auto. If I had a pistol membership, I would get charged if I brought a rifle.
The hit charge is if you hit the range equipment. In the old days that would mean hitting the line. These days it's on a rail system with a deflector above the target and much fancier. So when you sign in they have you sign a paper saying if you hit the system with a rifle round, it's 30 dollars. With a pistol round its 15. I think it just protects them in case their system gets damaged. I personally haven't seen anyone actually hit the system.
The range is in Chalfont, PA and called Target World ( Target World Inc. – Public Firearms Sales and Indoor Gun Range)

You don't want a muzzle brake you want an enhancer

Finally got the MP15 to the range with the bump stock. I think next time I'll bring extra lube since after about 100 rounds, she would jam occasionally. My best burst was 7 rounds....but I got tons more ammo at home and I'll practice again next time.

Great video!
I,personally, think the bump stock is a waste of time, effort and ammo.
While they are great fun, a friend has one on an AK, he shoots a lot and wastes a lot of ammo.
That said, that is just my opinion and we all know what that is worth! Lol
Enjoy yours, looks like you are.

I thought batman didn't use guns....
And I agree with you...essentially it's a waste of ammo. It makes no tactical sense and while somewhat accurate, does tend to foil the gun a lot quicker.
But for a once a year thing, it's tons of fun. I used to rent a full auto MP5 every five years on my birthday. Got all my buddies and we chipped in on a case of ammo...and had tons of fun shooting. Now I can do that more often.
I'm going to get the binary trigger for it, I think that might be more effective since I can double tap easier.
